I'm just wondering what everyones favorite workout songs are?
I find I only like to exercise to upbeat music...as slower paced songs don't pump me up as much
Some of my fav workout songs are
Maneater - Nelly Furtado
Please don't stop the music - Rihanna
Dreams - Fleetwood Mac
Justin Timberlake- Lovestoned
Kanye West- Stronger
Css- Music is my hot, hot sex (I hate the song. lol. but it has a good beat)
Paula Abdul- Knocked out
&nb sp; Cold Hearted
&nb sp; The Way that you Love me
Maroon 5- Wake up Call
Paramore- Misery Business
Christina Aguilera- Can't Hold Us Down
I like anything by the Foo Fighters and White Stripes.
Coincidentally, you might want to try this if you have a stationary bike at home. I pop on my MP3 headphones, crank it up and sing along while I ride. I used to be in a band and would learn the words to the songs by doing this, but for our purposes it seems to make me work twice as hard during my rides. Make sure you have an understanding family. LOL.
As bad as it sounds personally I like disco-- something about late 70's and early 80's tunes are great workout songs. One of my favorite songs for doing HIIT is Rush's "Temples of Syrinx" it starts out at a good warm up pace then it hits hard and its impossible not to want to try to keep up with the beat. Running steps is the best to do while listening to that tune!!
Some other favs are
Rock the Casbah -- the Clash
Desperate but not serious -- Adam Ant
Poison -- Alice Cooper
Good cool down songs are Emma and YOu sexy thing by HOt Chocolate - good for doing those abs
i either like listening to hip hop/pop or alternative rock songs. some of my faves are:
timbaland - the way i are
beyonce - lost your mind
chris brown - wall to wall
maroon 5 - harder to breathe
r. kelly - remix to ignition (i don't know why but i love this!)
any kelly clarkson or pink - these are surprisingly good to workout to
and of course, britney spears! - piece of me, toxic, etc.
Bands I circulate include Jimmy Eat World, Trust Company, The Used, American Hi-Fi....I could go on and on.
I also like to go with top 40 up beat tunes but I'm usually too fed up of listening to them on the radio.

Okay I may have gotten carried away :D
I reckon any 60s motown!!
its so upbeat!! xx
I got hooked on Kings of Leon last year... there are 3 good albums out by them.
The beat is pretty fast and easy to bike to.
"Because of the times" is a great album by them.
I also listen to any fast paced music... old to new stuff no genre excluded, its good to be "well rounded" sometimes
Besides that, Basshunter (a good upbeat danceish techno), Green Day, Mika, OK Go....
I like classical music, only instruments. For some reasons, it allows me to really listen to the music and let my mind float and not really focus on the burn that I might feel.
These two songs have fueled my new found love for the elliptical:
"Sweet Child Of Mine" Guns N Roses
"The River" Good Charlotte
I first figured out "The River" last week when it worked its way into the shuffle rotation on my iPod. I FLEW. I have never gone so fast on the elliptical. It was freakin awesome :)
