Better Body Image
We are so hard on ourselves. Self esteem is built up over time. So when you get a chance; stand naked in front of a full length mirror. You already know the problem areas. Instead of looking at what you don't like, make a list of what you do like. You may have great hair, sparkling eyes, pretty hands and/or feet, etc. etc...
I like my:
My Eyelashes
My Lips
My breasts (44 DDs)
My even toned skin
My toned legs
My butt
My belly button (its adorable)
LOL...it feels weird at first but it does help you appreciate what's good about yourself while you change your lifestyle to improve what you don't like ![]()
Bump![]()
I realized today, that I am lucky that I have arms that have virtually NO FAT on them!
It takes virtually no effort to have toned arms.
Was doing arm work in Pilate’s today, and I realized that that I had nice arms. Go figure lol.
I like my legs. No, I love my legs. They are thin with just enough muscle and hardly ever get fat!
I also quite like my arms because they are very long and sometimes make me look a bit apeish in pictures, which always makes me smile.
And my eyebrows, which are bushy and weirdly dark when I am naturally so light, but I wouldn't change them for the world!

Awesome for you lady! My upper arms are one of my "problem" areas that I am working on. They used to be very toned and I can see the muscle there but there is now a layer of fat. I am getting my "sexy" back though slowly but surely...LOL
P.S. I love pilates too...

*singing* She's got legs, and knows how to use them...LOL Work those gams girl.
My eyebrows grow funny and I have to filled them in with Expresso eyeshadow everyday but I still like them.
I love my calves...I appreciate my bum very much (DH says I don't have enough, I think it's just right! I have cute, weird toes. I love my smile and the fact that it's almost always plastered on my face. I have great hair that takes almost no time/effort. I'm starting to feel embarassed/conceited so I'll stop there!![]()

Oh don't be embarassed...if we complimented ourselves more we would not be "fishing" for them from others![]()
Having hair that takes almost no time/effort is a BLESSING!
This is a good thread! I wish more people would know that you have to hate yourself in order to want to make your self fabulous. You're so much more than a body!
I love absolutely EVERYTHING about myself. I sorta a sexy beetch! I have a great smile and an infectious laugh...and the most perfectly shaped almond eyes. ![]()

Ooooh almond eyes...I LOVE IT!
We are much more than a body but we will overlook our positives instead of embracing them.
I love my legs and I also think I have cute feet. I also like the size of my boobs and I think I have a pretty face...man I feel like I'm sounding vain... but that's what I truly like about myself.

There's a difference between being vain and self love. Vain people think it's all about them and no one else. My pastor in MD said that "you teach people how to love you by how they see you treat yourself and how you allow them to treat you". That statement really helped me grow up. I have to love and appreciate myself if I want to receive that from others.

Yeah that makes sense. And you know I have always thought I was beautiful not just on the outside but on the inside even when I gained a whole lot of weight. I just really think that losing weight helps me with my self esteem even more. I can actually see the old me again and it feels great.

That is awesome lady! Keep up the good living ![]()
Bump...just keeping this alive because it seems a lot of people need it![]()
I love that I have thick legs. They may be out of control now, but they are curvy, and I have GREAT calves. Very toned with little effort. I am so glad mine aren't skinny. My shoulders and arms get toned easliy as well.
I love that my waist can get down into the 20's easily, and even at 170+ it is never over about 30-31 inches. I can have a 6 pack when I am still in the 150's.
I love my hair after a fresh relaxer, my eye color and my skin color.
And I don't feel bad for saying it either.
cellotlhicks know that's right lady
Wow I am gunning for abs like yours...if my waist was in your range I wouldn't have to lose weight right now. It's all good though, it is coming off slowly but surely and when I am done...watch out there now! LOL
