Better 'n Peanut Butter Low Sodium
I really like it. It tastes good to me. Half the calories as regular helps a bit too. I am not a peanut butter connoisseur. I thought it tasted a bit sweeter than regular, and the consistency wasn't as smooth, but smooth enough!
mommakitty,
Thanks a bunch. I just didn't want to waste my money buying something over the internet if it wasn't that good. I might have to try it. I love peanut butter but this 200 cals or 190 for 2 T is killing me LOL
Also I need to watch my sodium intake. So thanks.
Yikes 40 bucks for a 6 pack. OMG hmmm maybe I can find low sodium at the grocery store. They would go bad before I could eat all the jars. :(
i'm a p-nut butter snob.
if there is more on the ingredient list than peanuts, then i think wtf! and dont buy it. i read the ingredient list on the jars out loud at friends houses. this is not an endearing quality on my part. but really:
you dont need more than p-nuts in p-nut butter.
brands i enjoy include adams and trader joe's and the stuff that gets ground from the machine at the co-op. If it comes in a jar, I get the one with no salt added.
i measure out a tbsp every so often, just to make sure i still know what one looks like on the butter knife, or my bread. its worth the calories and fat as far as im concerned, good and good for me.
Thanks Bubbles
I'm just worried about the sodium mostly. It is very high in calories but the sodium is my main concern until I just looked at Skippy. It's not THAT bad in sodium so I think I will just stick with that.
I live in a rural mountain community and rarely get off the mountain; because of money and health but when I do I think making a trip to Trader Joe's might be a good idea.
Kindal - I buy mine at Walgreens, if there is one near you. I like it, tastes ok, but you have to keep it in the frig, so it is hard to spread. I use it on toast tho, so as long as I get it out a few minutes early, it's alright.
Oh cool. We have a new Walgreens up here. I will check it out to see if they carry it. Thanks
