I don't know about the rest of you CCers, but I enjoy getting out and riding my bike around, seeing the world and different bike paths out there. I was just wondering, assuming i put in a moderate to vigorous effort, is this an exercise that has weight control benefits and cardio benefits? Is it practical for keeping weight off long term?

Yes to all of the above.
YES, I have lost 45 pounds and keep it off for almoxt a year now.

It has also helped my blood pressure and heart rate, as well as my arthritis.
Yes I agree with gmule and leinad. It does nothing but good for you. To have that much freedom and be benificial to you and the planet... sure doesn't seem like exercise.
