Does anyone know if having big boobs makes that much difference to your weight and stats? I'm heavy for my dress size and was wondering if that's partly the reason. I put on 20 pounds over four years of uni and would like to lose it and some more (25 in total) before I graduate at the end of June, or at least by the end of the summer, but I'm wondering if my target is unrealistic because of my boobs and generally curvy figure? I'd love to know how much they weigh! They get a bit smaller when I'm slimmer but not a lot.

I'm 5'8''

150 pounds

size 12 UK, which I think is an 8 US size.

28" waist

38" hips

32FF boobs!!!! (which I hate because nothing fits right and they make my back ache!)

Thanks in advance!!

I definately think they do.  Especially a FF!  I am only a DD and I swear they add 5 lbs.  As for your goal I don't really know since I am a lot shorter than you lol.

They definately  do.  A friend of mine had a breast reduction because her spine was beginning to curve. She was an FF and they took her down to a C...removed 3 pounds from the left side and 4.5 from the right.  Can you imagine???

yeha that sounds about right ... they are really heavy ..

beleive me .. my back knows it !

I've always been big chested, too.  And they always make you feel "bigger" all over compared to eveyone else with "normal" size ones.  I've learned to deal with it...don't stress about the number on the scale.  Go by how your body feels and how it fits into your clothes.
Are you in the UK? There's a store called Bravissimo (www.bravissimo.com) that has stuff for buxom ladies...and not just bras, they actually make clothes which are cut to fit over a fuller figure.  They even have shirts with buttons!  Buttons! I haven't worn buttons in years for fear of putting someone's eye out when the burst off my shirt under pressure.  I haven't tried buying anything from there (I live in the States so shipping would be spendy, plus WOW is the dollar weak) but it looks like a good idea...
I do know Bravissimo so thanks for the tip! The trouble is that it's quite expensive and there isn't one in St. Andrews where I'm at Uni. However, whenever I'm home I normally talk my mother into treating me - it's a necessity afterall!! I normally have to manage by just wearing a sports bra over my normal one if I want to wear something smaller or for yoga, etc, but I get the sort of monoboob effect which is not great.....
Ha ha, your post made me laugh so much. Monoboob, lol. I am in the same situation. Finishing uni and have put on almost a stone. I am going travelling in September when I leave uni so want to lose the stone before then. Feel free to add me and we can keep track of each other as we both have a very similar target in the same time scale. I am 34 DD/E so feel the same. Im sure they do add more. Maybe start for a boob job fund.... :)

I feel for you. I had a reduction 10 years ago because of back problems. They took off about 5 pounds. I immediately felt so much better and I can't even imagine going back to having such big boobs.
I share your pain.  At 5'1" I have 34 DDDD (F) cup boobs.  I figure it must play into my overall weight and body fat %.  STill it is discouraging.  I would have them reduced but am afraid to go under the knife as I have 2 young children.  I must say though, now that I am 40... gravity is unkind!

Maybe I'll start adjusting my weight in my head.  130 on the scale = 125 + BOOBS!
I definetly think so.  I'm a DD and I'm sure they add at least a pound a piece.  Also, I don't think I would recommend trying to get to a goal weight of 125.  At my height which is 5 6, I should be around 135, but I'm assumming a more likely and healthy weight is 140.  I think you might have to work too hard to get to 125, so much so that you might give up.  Just be careful so you don't try to lose too much.
Yes, once your boobs get to that size, they contribute a substantial amount to your weight... a large part of them is made up of fat and milk-ducts, after all! Have you ever had a professional bra-fitting done to make sure you're wearing the right bra for your body? It can make a huge difference to how you feel in general, and ease the back ache.

WOW...

um ya, I am going with screw dieting and get a breast reduction... once your boobs are down to a more easy to manage size you will likely only weight 138 or something.

At 30 and size 38DDD I can't weight to get a reduction.

I love Bravissimo! I highly recommend getting bras from there! I'm a 32JJ.

Yeah. JJ. Try finding that at your local Victoria's Secret, Nordstroms, Macys, you name it.

And their prices are great. Got a bra for half of what I paid for the same bra at a local big-boob boutique.
