big boobs make running painful

I dont know about anyone else, but this is a HUGE problem for me. It doesnt matter what sports bra I wear (or how many of them for that matter)... I have spent a fortune on good bras that are supposed to support but nothing works. I even tried duct tape once (OUCH) I used to love running but now its too painful. Anyone with a similar issue, i"d love to hear if you figured anything out.

you know what my friend does..

she wears 2 sports bras, then she duct tapes over the bras (so peeling the tape off doesn't hurt)

What's your bra size? I am DD and I use enell. It's one of the only ones that leave my boobs feeling fine after jogging, jump roping, or horseback riding.

It's a specialty sports bra for larger boobs. They're really good. It feels like you're wearing body armor at first but you get used to it. =P There's no underwire, but they do keep your boobs in place (no more uniboob, yay!) Also, they latch from the front, which makes them so much damn easier to put on.

they are around 50$ if I recall. You don't really need more than 1 though.

about 6 months ago I heard of them from someone ELSE on CC. Since I liked them so much I've been trying to spread the word around, especially since the boob issue is such a big problem for certain people!

Wow, that looks great, and I'm definitely willing to give it a try. One last question if you dont mind, I see the sizes range from 1-8- how does that correlate to normal bra sizes?

I'm not sure-- they use their own sizing system. You have to measure yourself in inches and then see what size corresponds. They have instructions for that on the site, though.

I also THINK you can exhange the bra if it ends up being the wrong size but I don't remember exactly.

When I was a 38D, I would wear a supportive regular bra with a GOOD sports bra over it (like LL Bean's Moving Comfort #WPL7232). That combo has always worked for me. I'm a rider and I HATE bouncing boobs!!

I tried a Enell bra and others of that type...I HATED them. Sold on EBay.

I agree, I'm a 40D and I have always worn a normal support bra under a sports bra (or2) It definately helps keep the jiggle down :P

I tried on an Enell bra and it fit horribly.  I guess I must have been in between sizes.  I ended up getting a Goddess style #5056.  I am a 42 DDD.  It doesn't really help with bounce though. I really avoid anything that causes bounce out of fear of what I am actually doing to my chest, it hangs low enough as it is! It is very frustrating!  I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon and I am actually considering breast reduction.  No matter how much weight I lose, these darn things stay the same!  But for now, I double up if I am going to be doing any jumping around.  Good Luck!

I have the same problem. I'm a double D, and my large breasts had always prevented me from doing much strenuous exercise.  I believe not knowing that there were great sports bras out there actually led to me becoming overweight!  Anyway, here is the bra that changed my life, literally:

Yes, they are a bit pricey, but worth every penny.  (You could look for deals on eBay too.) I've had my a few years now.  I bought two and just rotate them.  Don't bleach them or put them in the dryer and they should last a long time for you as well.  Hope this helps!

Title Nine also has a bra called The Last Resort.  It smooshes you almost totally flat.  Not flattering, but it works.  

Lane Bryant has the best sports bra in the world.  I loved it so much I went and bought four more and use it all the time!  The girls do not move in it and it gives them great lift so they look fabulous in it.  It does have an underwire but it's actual sewn on the outside so that it's not against your body but you don't have the uniboob that was meantioned earlier lol.

 

P.S.  I used it when I had DDD chest or larger but now that I had a breast reduction I still use it because of the no wiggle, comfortable, and lifting factors of this bra.  It definately doesn't win the prettiest bra category.

I use Enell as well and LOVE IT!!!  There is no bounce whatsoever - they're not going anywhere... expensive but well worth it if running is your thing...
