big breakfast & chocolate!!!

Here's an artical I just read...

Most of it is about the standard discussions we've had here about the possible benefits of larger breakfast, but I thought their comments about chocolate were pretty interesting.

very good article but it was weird in the section "how did the study work" the last sentence says "We know that ovarian cancer is often diagnosed too late in women".Why is that there I don't understand what that has to do with the article did I miss something?

Wow!  I guess this means I have to get rid of chocolate as my afternoon snack! XD

Well I don't think this true for me.  I am a the biggest chocolate lover!!!!  I have tried consuming my chocolate in the morning with a big meal.  It just made me want chocolate more and that lead to binging.  But when I eat it later I don't feel deprived and I can actually can go a day or two without eating. My mom brought me four chocolate bars I ate one at 7pm for two days and didn't eat another for two days

plus apparently they're promoting under eating by saying the people eating the 350 cal breakfast only eat 750 cals the rest of the day...did i read that right? that's only 1100 a day?  bad for you...not enough calories

yeah, that threw me for a loop too. i figure it's some kind of cut-n-paste error. i'd like to think that wouldn't happen in a professional situation, but they are people too.

hey, if it works for you then do it. i have never been one to say that any strategy works for every person. i, for example, do not have a significantly larger breakfast, but i do find that protein makes a huge difference. Smile

it does seem to imply that is how they did their study. i wonder if the person writing this was only thinking about meals and left out snacks... very curious.

or maybe the "750 cals the rest of the day" should have been for the larger breakfast eaters. that would put them at 1350. just a thought.
