Biggest difference between losing and maintaining?

I'm close to my goal weight, but now I'm worried about the maintenance phase. What's the biggest difference between the two when you went through the transition? Just upping the calories and same activity/workouts? Anything else? Thanks for any response!

Congratulations on getting close to your goal.  Maintenance is a new chapter in the life style change story.  I kept my exercise roughly the same and started adding calories to my daily limit.  It is important to try to keep eating the right foods and not slip back into old bad habits.   Good luck, keep us posted on your journey.

Yep just as munrori said: It's just phase 2. Now you focus on becoming more physically active and refining your diet. You can have a couple hundred more enjoyable calories for dessert!

I found the biggest difference was psychological. I no longer measure progress as the number on the scale going down. I still need to challenge myself, so I'm working on increasing fitness.
