Biggest Loser Finale

I must say that I was quite impressed with the all the weight that Jerry lost while at home.  That just goes to show you that anything is possible with determination, dedication and perseverance.  As a 64 year old man with failing health, he turned it all around.  Kudos to him!

Helen, although I thought she looked somewhat gaunt (but fit), is also an inspiration as a 48 year old woman winning the grand prize.  I think it's great that it was these 2 that won.

Did anyone else vote for who they wanted to be on next season and who did you vote for?  I voted for Amanda- the 19 year old- because of her determined look while working out with Jill.

I was really impressed with Jerry I mean really who saw that coming.  Kristin looked AMAZING!!!! I almost cried when she walked out.  I'm honestly shocked that Helen won, I actually thought she lost too much weight but for $250k I'm sure I would have done the same thing.  I really thought Tara was going to take it, she dominated through the whole show and I think she lost by what was it 4 pounds or so? She looked fantastic though, so did Mike.  All in all an excellent 3 hours of my life that I looked forward to for the whole season.

Awesome for Jerry but I have to say that I still cannot stand Helen and I am totally disappointed that she won. I pretty much checked out of caring about the show a couple weeks ago when my last faves were gone (Filipe and Kristen). I still think it's an inspirational show. I just don't like Helen one bit. And that didn't change because she won... her attitude was horrible throughout and I just think she is very insincere.

jerry looks sicker now than he did before.  bad PR for the show when he drops dead in a week or two.

i think it`s funny that helen won.  i was always amused by how much people hated her, and i think this shows that she and shannon had good reason for the decision they made.

When Mike came out for the first time I thought for sure he would win.  He is so thin now.  How tall is Helen?  I am 5' 6 and cannot even remember weighing 117 lbs.  (I'm 38) or even imagine weighing that now.  She must be shorter than I thought. 

Jerry was the only real surprise from the at home people.  I cannot believe he lost that much weight.  That is amazing.  I was not surprised that Joelle didn't lose much or the orange kid (not Daniel). 

I'm assuming next season will not be couples unless Amanda is going to be part of an unrelated couple like Bernie was two seasons ago. 

**I just looked up her height and she is 5'6.  117 seems a little unhealthy for that height, but as a previous poster said, for $250,000 I might go that low too!   

I enjoyed watching the finale although a bit disappointed with Helen winning.  She looked quite ill to me and it makes me wonder about how she acheived that severe loss at home in that short period of time.  Tara looked great and healthy.  Mike looks amazing and I cried when he came ripping through the before picture.  He is such a sweetie. 

I enjoyed watching this season and only hope the people in the next season inspire so many others.

Wow- 117 lbs is pretty thin for a 5'6" woman.  Maybe it has a lot to with age, but I think one reason Helen looked a little weird was because of the loose skin around her arms, face and neck.  Tara was bigger than her at the start and she did not seem to have the same issue.

Anyone else like losing weight along with them?  I do, it's a secret I'm only telling here cause you guys might understand.  Of course I'm going at a much slower pace then they are but it's kind of fun to see where I stand with the contestants.....it's also kind of fun to know that even if I applied for the show I probably don't weigh enough, not anymore anyway.

Sione looked HOT!  Loved it when he and Felipe did the dance.  They looked so much better doing it this time around.

Mike looked great too.  I sure hope he has some hot dates in his future.  I also liked Daniel's comment.  He said that he felt like a fit athlete under several layers of coats!  Been there, done that.  Oh wait, still doing that!

Enjoyed the show very much.  Just happy that I could fast forward through all the filler and commercials.  I think I watched the three hour show in 90 minutes!  I love TIVO!

I can't believe that Helen is 5'6", she looks shorter than that to me.  She was TINY.  I think she looked great but had extra skin...same with Jerry.  I don't agree that he looked sicker.  It's just that he had a lot of extra skin, and when you're older and lose weight, you have more wrinkles than you did before because the skin isn't as tight.  He just needs to take his 100K and get some things tightened up.  When Mike walked out I thought he won for sure b/c he's thin and looks great.  Then I saw Tara, and I knew she lost it.  I think she knew it too before she stepped on the scale.  Disappointing to rule the whole thing and miss out by just a tiny bit in the end.  They all looked great though, some with more to go for sure, but it's a big accomplishment.

I will admit I was disappointed that Helen won, However, I do have to say congrats to her. I have to say congrats to EVERYONE who was a part of the show they worked hard. The journey isn't over yet. Their life is just beginning all over again. Hopefully they take what they learned and apply it in their lives. It looks like they will though. :)

I could not believe the power of Jerry! Ha Ha. He is such an amazing and sweet elder man. Did you see how he lifted Jillian?! Lmao. That was the best. Congrats Jerry! The old man kicked some A-S-S!

My personal fav. was Tara. I was sad she didn't win, but she looked absolutely beautiful.She actually reminded me of Kate Winslet! Meow! And Mike, wow. What a total fox! Lmao. He'll have the ladies at his door. No doubt!

All in all, they all rocked it! Three cheers for Jillian and Bob for their hard kick a** work! :)

 Oh my yes!  I second that big time.  It's very cool that they are going to take everything they've learned and share it with their community.  Those dudes rock. :)

 Same here. I'm 5'7" and have always seen Helen as a lot smaller than me... but, Tara is 5'9" supposedly so maybe Helen just looks shorter b/c she's always next to Tara? Who knows. Either way, that sounds like a very low weight for someone who is 5'6". I guess she (Helen) has a small frame...

I hated the finale, it was terrible! I have watched the show religiously all season and was really looking forward to an exciting season finale, what a let down.  It was soooo boring and drawn out. 

Helen looked awful, she lost too much weight. 

Terah and Mike looked wonderful, I wish one of them had won all the $$

I loved the show and I loved the finale and I don't know what I'm going to watch all summer now.  I thought for sure Tara was going to win and while I'm happy for Helen I didn't think she looked good.  She might have lost too much weight because her skin was sagging and she just looked older to me.  Congrats to Jerry too but he could stand to gain a little more too because he looked a little sickly, Estelle too. They looked much better in their exit photos where they lost weight but not that much.  I guess it paid off for them though.

I also agree with the others - Sione looked hot maybe even hotter with the beard.

I felt bad when I saw Aubrey though.  It didn't seem like she lost anything at home and I know she says she's trying.  Poor thing just probably can't devote the time needed.

Yep another Tara fan here too, though I was fine with any of the three getting it.  I just read an article that said doctors advised Helen to gain 15 more pounds, seems how sickly or thin she looked is the topic of the day on the internet.

As for Jerry that dude is amazing.  My cousin works out in the same gym as he and his wife and told me a  month and a half ago that he'd win cause she saw how much they had changed.  Said she was doing dead lifts right next to him and had to stop and just stare as he was outlifting her.

Nah, the guy isn't sick...just different.  We all look different when we make such big changes.  I still don't recognize myself in the mirror after losing 75 pounds in the last 7 months and I still have 15 to go.  Yikes.

That is cool that your cousin saw them at the gym.  I think Jerry looked great and I don't think he was sickly looking either.  What was sick was how he collapsed during his first work out at the ranch.  Now look at him!  The man gained a new lease on life by shedding all that weight.

I agree that he is a hard 64, but an extra 177 lbs that you've been carrying around for God knows how long will do that to you.
