Is anyone else getting teary eye'd watching the biggest loser??? I would die for that experience.... im so happy about the families they have chosen..... *sniffle* they inspire me so much.

Nope not teary eyed but I wish there was a tv in my gym so I could work out and watch!

mmm..... our gyms have tv's in the treadmills so i never miss a beat ;)

they are all bigger this year...wow!  ALi looks great, she just had another baby!

Is there a way to watch online? I haven't been able to figure out the net TV thing and I have no cable.

I think they shouldn't vote anyone off.  Obviously it takes alot to go on TV and all of the contestants want and need to lose weight.  They should let all of the people stay and perhaps give awards weekly for goals met.  But I felt bad for the couple who 'didn't lose enough' this first week.  They could still give the person who loses the most the $$, but it is disheartening to see people who need to be there get voted off.

Guess they are trying to be all those other 'reality' shows, but they should consider the ultimate goal.

 

go  to the nbc website.  I watched the 1st 48 minutes over the weekend.  They might have the whole show on there now.

I don't cry over the biggest loser. I do feel bad though when someone gets voted off. They do all deserve to stay. 

I agree, they are so much bigger than ever before. This season is going to be interesting with the new challenges too.

I've watched the show since season 1 and never miss it, no matter what. I tape it if I can't watch it for some reason!  It's real motivation for me. I've never missed it!!! lol

it starts here in 10 min. gotta go put on my shoes and get on the elliptical for an hour while i watch.....it's tradition...Wink

I love the Biggest Loser.  I haven't watched it yet.  Waiting for my husband to get home from work to watch it.  It's sooooo enspiring!  I can't wait!  I got teary eyed last season so I'm sure I'll need some Kleenex this season.

I love the biggest loser, but what gets me about the show is.. When it first started to come on I was like... Okay, why am I watching a show talking about losing weight when I want get off my (A) and do this for myself. Then they started to drop big numbers, and I was like. WTF, can't be.. It has to be 2 weeks and not a 1 week weigh in.. Can't be..

Then I started to think, they are eating some food I never heard of before, and are they eating at all.

But the team my heart is going out for is the yellow team. That father and daughter team is something special, and I hope they get to go all the way. Dad is so sick that he can't do no more than 30 mins of exercise, and that right their really got to me. ( You will see where I'm coming from after you all watch it.) That girl wants to be there, and she loves her father like crazy.. She's in it for the healthy life style change, the thing I hate about the show is this...

Why can't they vote off in week 2. I mean give them 20 to 30 pounds of weight loss to start off with, and more info. They go home with just a little I think.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel they should get 2 weeks before voting anyone off. 
Do any one feel the same way?

I also love this show.  I think your idea of waiting for awhile before the first vote offs begin is a great idea.  That Jillian - sure is a tough cookie.  I'll bet being on this show is really hard (much harder than what we get to see on the show)

It is really sad when they get voted off. At least Stacey and Adam did well on their own at home (hmm...wonder if they had help). I'm glad they did a spot on them at the end. Also, Stacey said she cant wait for the finale so they must be keeping it up.

I too, am voting for the yellow team. That father/daughter team is really sweet. All the daughter talks about is making sure her father gets healthy. Awwww!

I'm sure the people are getting enough calories to balance out their workouts. I don't think, with the medical supervision they have, that they'd be eating 1200 cals a day and working out for 5 or 6 hours.

190 lbs-----1,330 cals
200 lbs-----1,400 cals
210 lbs-----1,470 cals
220 lbs-----1,540 cals
230 lbs-----1,610 cals
240 lbs-----1,680 cals
250 lbs-----1,750 cals

If you weigh more than 300 pounds, start by eating 2,100 calories a day. If you weigh less than 150 pounds, plan to eat around 1,050 calories a day.

This whole issue I got here is all about the biggest loser, and I got it and I was like.. OH! In here it also say's they do have 3 to 5 hours of workout sessions. It's intense physical challenges. So I do know if I was on that ranch, I would drop large numbers for the first week, but the numbers always level out. There is no room for cheathing there, not even a diet coke or low fat chips. It also have a few workout programs in here with Jillian, showing readers the moves. I don't think I would have BOB as a trainer, he's too sweet. I would need Jillian to push me.

I can't wait to see Stacy and Adam at the end. She is going to buy her first dress since her wedding. What was she down to. 175, and they both look great.

They also send them home with a package of info. And the tools they need.

I think Bob is better than Jillian. He's tough but who wants someone screaming in their face? haha

I think the calories sound high, personally. Looking at my weight... it seems like it's really high. However, is that coupled with 3 hours of workouts everyday?

Ah man, I didn't finish watching it and then I read these posts and found out who was voted off.  UGH.  That's what I get for reading before watching!  LOL.

The father and daughter team is really sweet.  The dad is so respectful to Jillian.  All he kept saying was "yes ma'am."  He's a sweet man and I hope he drops a lot of weight.  He's going to be even more handsome when he does.

Here's what I don't get.  I realize they are monitored by doctors and stuff but isn't it unhealthy for people with that much weight to lose to start exercising so fast like that?  I always thought it would be a big strain on the heart and dangerous for them to overexert themselves.  Can't they have a heart attack for pushing it too quickly rather than gradually moving into an exercise routine?

I just hope with all the yelling Jillian does that atleast she brushes her teeth and uses mints here and there because she sure gets right up to their faces.  LOL.....Smile

jillian is the only reason i watch.  i love her ;)  call it a girl crush if you want. 

i love screaming jillian almost as much as i love therapy jillian, but my favourite of all is cursing jillian.

I work for a police dept and noticed too how the yellow team father was saying "yes ma'am" to Jillian too. I kinda picked the yellow team at first because the Dad is a cop but the daughter really won my heart. She is so sweet.

Yeah, for all that yelling and B-ing she does.. She needs to be chewing some of that extra gum herself. She really does get too close with the yelling.. I wonder has any of them slapped her.

Bob, he's just a sweet heart and I love him also. But I think I will need a person  B-ing at me all the time, and not being all sweet and kind.

The only time she is sweet - is when she knows she's broken them down. Way down, and the yellow team- the dad is the first one on the show that has ever been kicked down to just 30 mins of workout.

I wish them nothing but luck..
