I bought the BL Bootcamp and lastnight did stage one...question....today my knees feel like I crushed them...Ive only been riding a stationary bike to this point. Normal?
I have not done the bootcamp workout but I did just buy the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred workout and have done level 1 for the last 2 days. My entire body is sore and the tops of my thighs are really bad. Very hard to put pressure on them and set up and down. If you are not used to that kind of workout then you will be very sore. I also am following a 1300 calorie diet and have gained 2 pounds since I have started working out as well. I was told by others here that this is due to water retention from your sore muscles. Dont be alarmed if the scale goes crazy for the next few days. I did !!!!! Good luck and keep posting how you are doing with the workout......
Any sudden unaccustomed exercise (like a tough workout tape) is going to trash your body. I did one of the Biggest Loser workouts and I could hardly walk for the next week! I didn't go back to it (it was on the tv...) but theoretically if I HAD it would get a little easier each time as my body got used to it. Take it easy for a day or so and only do light exercise until you feel better.
Also make sure you do a cool down of slow walking and stretch, this should help with the soreness, (caused by too much acidity in your muscles.)
