Biggest Loser

The biggest loser has been one of my favorite reality shows since there really aren't villains.  Last night episode I was so disappointed in how everyone has ganged up on Tara.  Tara strikes me as goal oriented, she's been kicking butt without being mean or spiteful.  I was so happy when she made it across that finished line first with the extra weight.

It's a competition and Tara is the best competitor on the show. Of course everyone was going to load her up with the weight. They get a TON of money if they win the competition. If I were on the show, I would have done the same thing. So would Tara if she weren't in first place. It wasn't that bad, she took it personally even though it wasn't intended that way. I didn't view it the same way as you, not at all.

Now Helen, that was personal. I don't like her. She needs to go! She is so selfish, in my opinion, for having sent her daughter home (her daughter needed to lose more than she did), and then she dissed Bob. And he's my fave. That was personal. The stuff with Tara wasn't.

I was also glad to see Tara win the immunity. She is one amazing competitor.

i don't think it was offensive to tara that they loaded her up with weight; that's flattering.  what was offensive was how hard they all laughed while doing it.

i think she's a bit of a crybaby, but i'm glad she kicked ass in the challenge, because they were obnoxious.

I think Tara totally over reacted to the point where I wonder if it was scripted, but still thrilled that she won the challange!

there's nobody left on the show now that i really connect with.  i liked mandi and aubrey, because they were so supportive of each other.  i used to really like cione and filipe, but cione's ego seems to have got the best of him.  i like tara's fiestiness, but she's so immature.  or maybe narcissistic.

i think i have to go with mike.  i like his humility, and i like that he has so much respect and compassion for his dad.

 Me too. LOVE HER!!! Sione and Philipe used to be my faves but no more, I'm rooting for Kristin.

I also love Mike. He's a good kid. I hate looking at Ron's man-teats every week (except for last night - thank GOODness!!! - hope that sticks). He is a good dad, Mike is a great kid.

I'd love for a woman to win, and I'd love for Bob to be the winning trainer for once. I know Jillian must be doing something right to have one all the seasons, but I'm a HUGE Bob fan.

I was very surprised they voted Aubrey off over Felipe. He seems like a much bigger threat.  I used to be a big fan of his, but since they had their day of indulgence (or whatever it was called) and he went way overboard with the burger and chicken fingers and fries, then didn't have a good weigh in and tried to blame Jillian, I find him a little annoying. 

I hope either Tara or Mike win.  Tara can be a little immature, but she is so determined, I admire that.

I'm with you on the Tongan brothers. They also seem to be giving up a lot now which bums me out. (like the challenge last night, the half marathon, etc.)

I felt sorry for Tara because of all the laughing that went on as they were loading up her scale.  Ha, good for her for kicking ass in the challenge.  What an awesome moment when she pulled ahead of Scione.  

Mike is cute, but I can't like his dad.  Ew...  Sorry.  Not too sad to see Aubrey go because I don't think she worked hard enough.  I hope she's found her way at home...

Helen is ok in my book, not a favourite because I thought she should have let her daughter stay instead of herself.

Laura has come along way.  I guess I'm more partial to those that train with Jillian.  Bob's a nice guy, but I'd rather have Jillian for a trainer :)

My favorite player this year is Tara. I cheered when she won the challenge and kicked some serious arse. Even with more weight added to her car she still pulled through on top. She's really inspiring. She also seems good hearted. Anyone can seem whiney on these shows. They are cooped up some place for so many months with only occasional outings. Away from family, under stress to get the job done and being filmed 24/7. I might be a little whiney too from stress. Heh.

I also love Mike. He is such a sweetheart. You can't help but adore him!

I don't really dislike anyone this year...but I was starting to kind of dislike Aubrey a bit, just something about her she seemed a tad bit like a b***h. None of the players this year are near as bad as last seasons (i.e. Vicky, Brady, Heba...etc.) Which is a good thing.

My guy actually asked me last night, "Who don't you like this year? Who's the b***h?") I couldn't really answer him as I told him no one was that bad this year. I told him I liked Tara and Mike though. Then I saw Aubrey down talking Tara and I said "Eh, maybe I don't like Aubrey too much, she seems kind of like a b***h." Then she went last night.

I love Mike, he's by far my favorite. Tara I was starting to dislike with the whole quitting thing last night but then she killed it in the challenge, the girl is unstoppable.  I love Kristen, I like Ron, I like Filipe and Sione, Helen's gotta go next.  I can't believe she let her kid go home, I just couldn't do something like that.  Kristen was awesome last night, seriously I cry like once or twice for every episode its getting ridiculous.  I hope Mike or Kristen win it.

I was thinking that Tara loaded up on water for the weigh in and that is why she didn't meet the 100 pound goal.  Smart move to let Kristen have it.  Perhaps to deflect some of the jealous feelings from the other players?

I love the relationship between Mike and Ron. Go Mike!  I hope he finds a really hot girlfriend after the show.   

I am really happy that the drama of last season wasn't repeated (Vicky, Heba & Ed).  I think it is much more inspiring to see people who are supportive of one another rather than scheming and disrespecting.

BTW, did anyone notice that the bottom two last night were both trained by Bob?

 i thought the same thing about tara's weigh in.  she rarely gets small numbers, and she had immunity.  i think she intentionally only lost the 3 pounds.

and i'd be mike's hot girlfriend.  23 isn't too much of a cougar for his 18, right?  ha.

 You could see it all over Bob's face couldn't you?  He was soooo upset.  I thought he was about to implode.  I think Jillian really handled that whole scenerio with a lot of grace.

I agree that everyone seems to be gaining up on Tara.  But I think that you have to remember that even though they are all there for the same reason..losing weight it is still a game and they all want to lose weight AND play the game.  Who wouldn't?? I don't know anyone who couldn't use an extra 250 grand.  I can't wait to see how the season ends.
