The biggest loser has been one of my favorite reality shows since there really aren't villains.  Last night episode I was so disappointed in how everyone has ganged up on Tara.  Tara strikes me as goal oriented, she's been kicking butt without being mean or spiteful.  I was so happy when she made it across that finished line first with the extra weight.

Starlit- if you look back on this thread you will see several people other than you talking about how cute Mike is.  I just don't get it, I'm sorry!  Like I said he seems like a nice person, but I agree with vals that it was a little annoying how he got so upset over the whole Ron thing.  But, I guess you can expect that from an 18 year old.  Not from a way grown man like Ron!  I do get the Sione cute thing though, he's lookin good!

Since I'm in the mood to vent on TBL today, let's talk about the whole trainer escapade with Filipe going off on Jillian.  Like I said, I like him, but that was way extreme and ridiculous!  OK why are they all CRYING when they have to change from Bob to Jillian?  That was just ridiculous!  They are both awesome and they both have their strengths and they should look at it as an opportunity to learn more and train in a different way!  And it's not like Bob was leaving the show or something, they still see the dude every day!  Filipe and Sione both were pouting like children, and it seemed like they were just waiting to find something wrong so they could go off and defect to Bob's team!  Yeah Jillian left Filipe alone on the treadmill too long, but I would think that there are times for all of them that they're left like that while she's training another one.  And come on, take some responsibility for yourself!  You've been doing the workouts for how many weeks and you can't do something other than the treadmill on your own???  I mean isn't that what we all do at the gym without a trainer?  I did lose some respect for Filipe that day, but I just find his positive attitude and enthusiasm for everything so contagious.

I love this show and have only very recently become hooked on it.  First of all, the breakfast that Kristin made for Laura...did anyone else notice that Lauras clock read 1230 or so? Total set up for the cameras....I would love to know just how much of this stuff was scripted behind the scenes.

Second, I can't believe that everyone has chosen to listen to Ron and let him boss them around. I understand safety in numbers and all that jazz, but why play the game? It's only a "game" if you decide to play and I think Kristen has demonstrated that wonderfully.....she doesn't pre-determine who to vote off, she doesn't eat the temptations, etc....If you worry about yourself, what you do and how much you workout, you can stay above the yellow line and not much else matters until the end anyway.

I like Mike and Kristen. I am a little jealous that Tara has lost so much weight and is so driven, but she has come off with a bit of an attitude...one I would take though if that's what it took to lose the weight! I don't like Helen, but I can't put my finger on why...she just seems insincere to me and I'm not sure why. Not a fan of Laura either...she doesn't really come across as trying or caring to me, but again, can't pinpoint the reason.

Looking forward to seeing how this season ends!

this is going to sound awful, but i'd be willing to bet that tara will gain the weight back.  she's very much an all-or-nothing person, and when she can no longer devote all her energy to working out, i think she'll fall apart.

i especially believe this after seeing how driven she was in pounding down 4700 calories in the temptation.  whatever she does, she's going to do it all the way.

I hope Tara doesn't gain the weight back.  I do think she will win...be more dedicated in the last weeks.  She has had some scares or really wanted to quit but now she is going to do well.  I agree with everyone who is not a fan of Ron.  He really puts on way too much drama.  I didn't see the whole show but was surprised that he lost so much on the last weight in.

Yep. I agree - but I feel that way about a lot of them. Tara and Helen, and Filipe and Sione, all went crazy when they were on that Vegas trip. I was pretty schocked by that and then also when Tara ate so much at this week's challenge.

I knew Ron would have a good weigh in this week.  He showed a gain last week because of the extra fluids they pumped in him.  When that settled down his true loss would've shown and then compound that with this week's loss...wala, a big number.

Pg, I hope you're wrong for Tara's sake but the way you put it..."all or nothing"...I never thought of it that way but now that you mention it....

starlit, you are a bad person, but you're a bad funny person, so it's okay.

to make pretty links, just highlight a word or phrase.  the link button will activate and a box will pop up for the address.

kristen was upfront with the barftastic breakfast in bed thing, so i think it made it funny.  i'm pretty sure even laura knew that it wasn't a sincere gesture.

and jafried - i hate to interrupt your shallow party...but i think i'm the only one in the mike lovefest...so i'd hardly call it a fest.  and i also have no chin.  and he's 18...acne is common in that age (and i've never really noticed it...is it truely that obvious?).  not to mention that i was barely serious with my comments.  i do think he's adorable though.

 Now it's a "fest" I love Mike too (so I'm a little older....so what)

i thought that episode was the most RIDICULOUS thing i've ever seen. i stopped liking filipe after that moment. he was acting like a freakin baby. it's a trainer. they went crying to bob like something tragic had happened. like, what happens when you get to the real world and don't HAVE a trainer? suck it up!

and i will jump on the Mike bandwagon. i think he's adorable. i don't blame him for backing up his jerk of a dad, he's an 18 year old kid, what else is he supposed to do?

Thank you, that made my entire day.

Can't wait for tonight's make over episode.  I bet Mike will look fantastic.  I saw a preview where it looked like his brother was hugging him and crying.  Poor guy.  I hope Mike and Ron continue at home to help his brother and mother (if she needs it).  I assumed she was overweight too because it would be difficult not to in a house with three large men like that.  Are my prejudices showing?  Sorry.

Go Mike!

Actually Ron's wife looks pretty fit. When they went home that one episode, they showed her. She's thin.

I love make overs. I can't wait to see how good everyone will look tonight!!!

I think the makeovers were awesome! I felt sooo horrible for Mike's brother, although from the preview for next week it looks like Mike has plenty to say to his father about it.  Mike, Tara, and Kristen I think looked the best, I'm not a huge Tara fan either even more so after last nights episode but she looked good.  I think they did the right thing in elimination and for God's sake please let Helen be next!!!!!!

My heart ached for Mike's brother when he said "Now I am the big one". But I hope that when they return home they can seriously help him shed the weight and get him healthy.

I was going to be pissed if Kristen got voted off. Tara is so selfish. I kind of liked her, but now she just annoys me with her behavior. Helen is also selfish....so no wonder the two of them tried to vote Kristen off.

I'm really frickin' glad Kristen stayed, she needs to stay. She needs to win this.

tara is selfish, yes...but really, would you expect any different from any other teams?  if it was mike who's hip was messed up, would you expect ron to say to send him home?  really?  plus...tara is a game player, and kristen is a huge threat.

mind you, i'm glad kristen got to stay.  oh, and my crush on mike is still going strong.  he's adorable.

ps - was anyone else sappy enough to almost cry watching last night? or am i extra lame?

I loved Kristen's little speech about how she was down to 240 but that is what many women started at.  So true, she really does have a lot of weight left to lose and needs to be there.

I almost cringed when Ron was talking about how Kristen was standing in Mike's way.  Could he be more obvious about his desire for Mike to win this thing?  He doesn't even really seem to be there for himself, more of an afterthought really.  It's all about Mike.

Oh, and Mike, he looked soooo good.  I realize he is still about 250 but he carries it well.  I hope he gets some super hot girlfriends after this is all over!

Tciherr, I completely agree with you about Kristen's speech.  She does have a long way to go.  I'm also glad TBL is assisting with Laura's recovery.

Ok all, did I hear correctly...did Mike's brother mention he was 17?  That might be why he wasn't able to be on the show with Mike as opposed to Ron.  I felt so horrible for him (the brother) though.

Starlit-I got a little sappy over Mike's brother scene.

I didn't see Tara as being selfish last night, I thought it was more like loyalty.  It felt like a lame attempt though considering the mouth on that girl.  I was expecting her to bump heads way more with Ron than she did.

I'm really hoping that when Max turns 18, Biggest Loser puts him on the show.  I was crying like a baby when he started crying.
