watched it on DVR last night finally...

WOW...they have some challanges this year.  Part of me is glad that Dan came back, but I think he has an unfair advantage since he knows how to work out with them...we shall see...

who else is watching it??

I am!  That's my inspiration behind me working out in the mornings and evenings now.

If a 474 lb. woman can put herself in spandex and step on a scale in front of the world, then I can haul my ass out of bed earlier and get in another workout.  And actually stick to my calories every day.  We've got some seriously valid emotional eaters on this show - if they can do it so can I.

I can't imagine having to face down a 300 lb. weightloss.  I have to lose about 70 and I feel overwhelmed and whiny and pathetic.

I'm watching a recap now ((I MISSED IT! I CAN'T BELIEVE I MISSED IT! D: )). I'm so excited for this season! And the kid of last year is back. I'm so excited for him!

It really makes me look like quite the whiner. XD I'm so ready for this season. I know it's going to be good. <3

P.S. Does anyone know if/when they'll replay it. <.<

*raises hand* Yup. I'm watching it.

do you have comcast?  I am sure they have it on demand

yep, i watched it.

i agree that dan has an advantage...and i don't think i like that the trainers are training the people together.

oh, and did anyone else like the excessively long scene of jillian SCREAMING?

I loved it. You could see the smirk on here face. I wanted to burst out laughing.

 i WAS laughing.

and finding her face a little scary...

I used to think Jillian was crazy but honestly if you're literally the biggest person they've ever had on the show and you're even entertaining the thought of quitting in the first workout you absolutly deserve to be yelled at.  A lot of people would do anything to be on that show to be given the chance to gain some education and direction to get some control on their weight issues, quitting is just so ridiculous.  I'm glad to see Dan back, I felt terrible for him when his partner last season didn't put in the work but Dan did.  Unfortunatly this time he has another partner that's already threatened to quit but hopefully that won't actually happen.

Exactly!  I got up yesterday and restarted my strength training program and got up 1/2 hour earlier today to get a workout in before work.  These people motivate me beause if they can, I can.  And also, I don't want to get bigger and bigger.  I was there once and don't want to go back.  Not as big as them, but the weight just kept on coming on because I simply didn't care.

No excuses for me if these folks can do it!

 I adore Bob.

I have a TBL workout video where is "my" trainer.  (It's from season 1 or 2,  think.)

Anyway, I love doing that video just because well...its Bob.

doesn't everyone???

kallie - maybe i should get that one. i have 30 day shred where jillian "trains" me.

Love Bob!  He was so funny when Jillian wanted to give the woman that wanted to quit a DAY to come back.  He said a day, what about 10 minutes! I was laughing.  I was proud of her for getting back up to do it. Dan has a good partner once she gets her head in the game.

What about the woman who is still in the hospital for trying to run/walk a mile!?!  So sad that she is that out of shape.  When I saw them running I knew I don't have a single excuse to keep going when I want to quit. It made me go out and walk 3 miles last night after dinner  and I'll be doing it again tonight.

Pavlov I am with you - I have 70 pounds to go and it seems like nothing when they are looking at 1, 2, even 300 pounds to lose.

Get this one. It is  effn killer workout.

I second that.  It is an AMAZING workout.  I find it excellent for when I can't run (weather, time constraints...) or just need to sweat out my frustrations from the work day.  Definitely worth the purchase.

I just watche dthe first ep. last night.  I agree that Dan probably has an advantage, but he definately deserves it considering how his partner acted last season and the family/friends with bad habits all around him.  I am was SOOOO happy when he picked Shay for his partner this year.  He can be such a great motivator for her.

 just ordered it :)

They must load up on water before the first weigh in.  To lose 28 pounds in one week is just about mathematically impossible.  Assuming you weighed 400 pounds, you would need about 3,400 calories to maintain weight.  If you were able to go down to 1,200 a day (which would be impossible with the way they workout)... you could lose about 5 pounds based on eating.  That would mean he lost 23 pounds by exercising.   To do that you'd have to burn 80,000 calories... or in other words.. run about 540 miles.  I don't think so!!!!!!!!

I was so happy to just lose 2 per week!
