Biggest loser at my gym . . . what do you guys think?

Quote  |  Reply

My gym is having a biggest loser competition.  It sound really good, whoever's trainer's team who loses the most weight in 90 days wins prizes.  The thing is, it's expensive, $199, which includes two personal training sessions and a food plan session.  I guess the program includes a bunch of seminars and stuff - which sounds really fun, and I'd like to meet people.

I don't know if I want to do it.  I am pushing myself really hard with my weight loss/fitness, and I am afraid this will be too much and I'll burn out.  I also don't want to spend $199 - my gym is always trying to get more money out of me.  (For me it would be $400 because if I do it, my husband will too).

I don't want to miss out on all the fun - should I go for it?

that sounds like a lot of money to me for somethign you are already doing on your own.  Granted, I HATE spending money on things like this so...
If you think the classes will ultimately be beneficial to your health, $199 really isn't that much money in the grand scheme of things.  Of course, that money could be spent on some other nice gym equipment/programs as well, so only you can decide.

For me, the fact that I'd be losing $199 if I failed to adhere to the workout program would be incentive enough to stick with it!

you know 200$ for three months with lots of seminars and motivations, if you are for real you should do it, there is nothing more important then your health (even though it can be tough!)
