I saw Shay had the subway person tear out the middle of the bread to save calories. I did that today.. does anyone know how may calories that saves? Thanks!

I don't know, but when I ever have a wrap, I always tear off the excess tortilla that wraps around the bottom, but you don't really need it to hold the insides together.

No clue how many calories it saves, but it did look like a good idea! I suppose I would just try to estimate the calorie savings. Maybe try e-mailing the Subway people? I bet they have an idea since they were probably the ones who suggested having her do that on the show.

I have no clue. (sorry not much help.) But, I've heard of people doing this with bagels...it is a really good idea. I would just feel funny with everyone looking at me ripping my bread a part unless I brought it home. Ha Ha!

If you know the amount of calories in the bread, you could easily figure it out with a kitchen scale. Just weigh the bread before and after to estimate of the percentage of bread remaining, then apply that same percentage to the calories of the bread.

This is the only solution ;)

But LMFAO...I can already imagine this:

-'Hi I want a 6in. turkey sub. Could you please tear out the bread and give the remaining crumbs to me?' Wait...I have a scale with me, could you please weight the bread before?'

And Will be hard to explain to the staff...I think you should just forget about it and move on to the rest of the day.
