OK guys, our old thread of COMPETITION!!!! Biggest Losers!" ... needed a new thread, as it was over 10 pages long.
Not too many are on still doin' it ... I KNOW natashenka and I are ... anyone else?
We're just weighing in Friday mornings, to let each other know how we're doin' ... to let each other know we CAN do this, but not alone. Everything is always easier when you've got someone to report to, lol.
If anyone else wants, feel free to post with your weight loss, let us know how you're doin', n keep us updated!

OK, I'll start out ... I know weigh-in was Friday but I didn't have a scale available til Saturday. 159.5 on Saturday ... 159 even today! That's 41 pounds down total, and 16 down since I found this sight on Jan 30.
Lol, I went WAY over on calories last night, too ... I wonder if maybe I just needed to do that n kick start my metabolism, shake things up a bit. Went out to dinner at Red Robin with only 100 calories left in my day. I got the "ensanada chicken platter," a strawberry margarita, and they give everyone unlimited steak fries. I ate a basket of fries, had my whole margarita, and almost my whole dinner. I can still TASTE my dinner, it was delicious. 2 grilled, marinated chicken breasts with a lime dipping sauce and an awesome salsa, each in their own li'l baked (or fried, who knows) tortilla bowls. And a beautiful romaine/iceburg salad. Ate one chicken breast with the dipping sauce, then cut the other one up, broke the tortilla bowls, n mixed everything together. Oh man, delicious ::drools::. I got the same thing last time I went there, but it was even better this time.
I ate so much though, that I was STILL stuffed when I went to bed over 6 hours later. I know, I shouldn't have done that, but I couldn't help it lol ... sometimes I just have no willpower.

Hi!
I'd like to join too. I just found this site today and am following Jillians wonderful, great, amazing book "Winning by Losing". I didn't buy it because she's one of the skilled trainers on The Biggest Loser. I got it b/c I'd seen her on one of the shows and I liked her style. If u're ever looking for motivation and no nonsense information that gets u results, BUY THIS BOOK!!!
Ok, so for the challenge. I'm not sure how this started or how it works (aside from the weekly weigh in), but my goal is to lose: 20-34 lbs. in 10-11 weeks, and or 3 dress sizes (16 to 10). From Jillian's book, I calculated that I can lose 20-24lbs. through diet alone, or 30-34 with exercise (which I'm definitely doing). So I'm all set! My initial goal is to go from 208.5-175 (for this time period). The ultimate goal is: 160 lbs. or a size 8/10 (whichever comes first).
There's no way I can fail this time, I've covered alll the bases:D So I'll weigh here on Friday, but keep you guys posted in the meantime!
Good luck!!
P.s. Natashenka pleeeeease don't detail your dietary indiscretions cuz I'm really trying to stick to my plan, and tortillas/margaritas are a no no. Not while we're trying to lose weight. Perhaps you could just say u went out, went off plan but had a great meal, and intend to get back on track. Short and sweet :) Good luck! :)

Welcome to the challenge, Jillian! Good luck on losing your weight, and I hope the Jillian plan works for you.
It was actually me that detailed my dinner ... I find that it helps me in the long run, not to do it again. I rarely detail my foods, and when I do, it's normally for the GOOD stuff I've eaten, so you guys can try 'em if you want ... OR the really bad times, for motivation later on.
This competition got started awhile ago, you can check it out in the thread COMPETITION!! Biggest Losers! if you want ... it was just someone lookin' for some companionship in losing weight ... it's hard to do alone.

Sure blame it all on me... LOL... just kidding! =)
Hey its me again, Dy.
*Whew* well, I was hoping that I can be back into the competition. I did a turn-around. For a while there I wasnt being the healthiest but this site has been amazing to me and I have made a complete turnaround. And I have a big healthy plan made up lol
So right now I am suppose to be eating 1230 cal per day.
But...yeah I was just wondering if I would be allowed back into the comp. I promise to be healthy all the way *scouts honor*

Oops!! ::blushing::
I guess I just like your nick Natashenka and didn't pay attention. Sowwie!!! :)
Thanks for the clarification readnchick, and also for only having 15 lbs. to go!! :)
And dyingtobe, I don't know if you can start the competition again, but the great thing is u've got a plan and are committing to execute it :D Again (and I swear she's not paying me for this hehe) I'd pick up Jillian's "Winning by Losing". It truly is an innovative book that combines everything you need to know: how to calculate the calories you need to lose as much as u want in the time u want, what combinations of macronutrients are most beneficial to you, how to design your own fitness/diet programs, how to conquer the negative feelings that sabotage your success etc etc. I bought it b/c I needed serious motivation/guidance and was about to hire a personal trainer for help.
I'm now no longer interested in spending that money that I really didn't have (college student, 22) because now I have all the knowledge I need to accomplish my goals. It's all there!!
Oh! By the way, my name is Brandi :D I chose 'Jilliantor' on a whim b/c it reminded me of the great things I realized (rather than just learned) reading her book.
Sorry for such a long post, but wanted to clarify that :)

Hey dyingtobe, I'm glad you're back, I was very worried about you. It's GREAT to hear that you're finally doing this the healthy way. Welcome back to the competition. ;)
Hi Brandi, it's nice to meet you, I'm Christina. I'm a 21 yr old college student ... my third year will be over (finally) on Wednesday, I can't wait! Lol, I've got more than 15 pounds to go, though ... I've got 29 to go til I hit my goal, and then a possible 10 more, depending on how I feel and look at that weight. Thanks for the congrats though, hehe.

Yay! *Does Crazy Dance*
So happy to be back in the comp.
Well, my starting weight is at 170 again because I have been doing HORRIBLE. I managed to get down to 162.4 last month, but then binged like crazy. So hopefully this new plan will help me. I already went over my calories today because I made my plan in too late. So tomorrow is a fresh start. I am hoping to do about 4 hours working out per week, I will probably change it to more once I get back in my groove. lol
Starting weight:170
Goal weight:115
Lbs lost:0
Lbs to go:55
I am only going to weigh myself 1-2 times per week. Or else I get number crazy.
Good luck everyone!

Oh hey guys, I didn't receive a notification for this, dunno why. So yes, I will update my profile stat! :D
I had some trouble a couple days into my diet, but I'm on track now. Before tweaking my plan, I was eating more calories but more hungry. Now, I'm eating far fewer calories but not hungry at all. I'm very excited about that. I can post my 'revamped' plan if any of you are having the same troubles.
Can't wait for weigh in tomorrow. Good luck girls!!! :D

Welcome to the competition, uberman. I too lost weight before this site. 25 pounds before ... 16 pounds after. After a 3 month plateau in between ... I don't know what I'd have done without this site.
I'm not expecting too much tomorrow, I've not cared too much what I ate this week. Ahh well, ya win some, ya lose some.

Hi everyone,
Thanks Readnchick and Natashenka for telling me to make a profile. I didn't even know I could! But I think I wrote too much hehe, need to go wild with the backspace key :P
Ok, so 'revamp' means that I was basically trying to balance my nutrients between 40%carb/30protein/30fat based on an oxidizing test I took in Jillian's book (how you metabolize certain nutrients). BUT, I was always hungry b/c I think I'm sensitive to carbs. Even though my calories were around 1400-1600 (my calculated amounts for losing 3 or 2 lbs./mo. by diet alone), I always wanted to eat more
So my revamped plan includes 2 oz. protein at each meal (5 total, 1 optional dessert). I also eat between 2-4 hours, that helps tremendously too b/c I usually feel lazy to eat (b/c I don't like elaborate diet plans etc. Too much thinking). It's so easy to eat like this, and to test my 'sensitive carb theory' I ate 1 whole wheat waffle this morning w/ my regular protein. Sure enough, I'm hungrier, and I ended up drinking light apple juice and eating a fruit rollup. So again, my total calories for my breakfast are higher than on the days where I just eat fruit and protein. So from now on, I have to eat starchy carbs sparingly. No prob :)
Alright, as far as the plateau, in Jillian's book she recommends spreading out your total calories for the week so that your body gets confused and doesn't hold on to the weight. For instance, if you're eating 1400 calories a day, multiply that by 7 (days of the week), then divide that number by the seven days. Like, Monday-1200 cal, Tuesday- 1300 cal etc. Then make sure it adds up to your weekly total. Sorry if this is confusing. I suck at math.
Ok, I know I'm writing alot, but I feel like I have so much to say :O! I'll try to make this short. My weigh in today is: 208.5 and 33.8% body fat. I did the body fat measure today and my weight didn't change b/c of those two days that I was eating fast food. That's ok though b/c I'm still in the beginning of my plan and still making progress. I'm gonna start exercising today, so that'll help. I'm a little bummed though about my body fat. That's alot!! But..ah well, I know I can lose tremendous fat with my workout plan and the diet combined.
And not to forget, Welcome Uberman!! You'll love it here. This is the best bunch 'a' gals on the site ;)
