Name them, give a reason or two for each. I find a big help for losing weight is the people around me but in all the rush we tend to lose sight of the people who helped us.

1. My Boyfriend - Always consistent, he's never disappointed in me, and never hesitant to say positive things.

2. My Cat - Leaves me alone when I'm working out, he never whines for me to stop. If I'm not in the mood to work out he doesn't guilt trip me and he's always in the mood to snuggle up on the couch to watch a movie.

3. My Trainer - Pushes me when I need it, but never lets me burn out. Doesn't guilt trip me when I eat things I shouldn't, and always encourages me when I workout for fun.

1. My wife - we've both been each others' personal motivators

2. My kids - keep me busy enough to avoid grazing mindlessly when I'm not hungry

3. My kids again - I want to be active and fit if/when I'm a grandpa (and be around long enough!)

1) My husband who really does want me to lose weight for me and no one else and whoi is tremendously surportful, thank you

3) My daughters and my best friend who adept at back patting and head slapping!

2) My dogs who no matter how far you walk them still want to play!

WOW~Great idea here, Im happy to chime in!

1. My husband - he doesnt think I need to lose one little pound but he helps me measure things out, cook them differently, he walks with me and watches the baby so that I can work out. He has even promised me new clothes for our big move in Jan if I meet my goal. He is the very best!

2. My oldest son, Andrew - he actually takes his uber skinny blonde headed self into the living room with me to do dance arobics, yoga and for walks. No, he doesnt need to but he keeps up constant chatter to me so that I lose track of time and am not lonely while I work out.

3. My momma - she knows that I hate how I look right now and that I dont want to move to Japan looking like this. She calls every day to see how my mood is and make sure I am motivated. She always tells me how well I am doing and how impressed she is by my dedication. It means more then most people will ever know.

My husband - he is supportive and praises for each little ounce I lose.  Even if I don't make my goal for the week, he doesn't scold me, just says things like that happens.  I know he is there for me, no matter what I look like.

My oldest grand daughter - When I started this biggest loser, she hollered at me and told me I didn't need to lose anything, that she loved me the way I was.  She is 17 and has a body of a ballerina, with a hefty chest.  I so loved those words from her, but I told her, when a size 3x shirt is tight, then it's time for me to lose.  She told me, she understood and would help me and support me all the way, but I needed to remember that she loved me no matter what I looked like.

My daughters - for the way they brag about how much mommy has lost.  Even tho it was 5.2 lbs this past week, they just beamed with sunshine as they told their friends.  Made me feel good too.  I don't ever want to disappoint them and I'd like to be around to watch them give me great grandchildren!

1. CC - serioulsy, I don't know what I would do without this site. It has gotten me so far and helped me reach goals I never thought of achieving.

2. MYSELF - Thats the bottom line. It was all up to me, almost everyone else in my life is overweight.. and as much as they want to help and support me, they dont.

My mom: who is my main inspiration for keeping in shape and staying healthy. She is always there to say something positive too.

my daughter: who doesnt mind stealing food off my plate so that I eat less! or taking too long to eat her own food making my appetite less during dinner!

my cc/blog world: the words of encouragement and praise makes me feel great! and I know that I can accomplish this! do I have alot to lose no, but even a lb they jump up and cheer for me! <3 you guys!

My Mom: She's been there, still works at it herself, and ALWAYS talks me out of junk food when I call for her support.

My Husband: I am so amazed by him, I am almost speechless. He has been so supportive, he himself has lost 10 lbs!

My friend Heidi: She is my weight loss partner, without whome I would have given up long ago!

- My Boyfriend is my number one supporter, without a doubt!! He supports my in my fitness and health goals more than anyone. He is constantly reassuring and motivational. He has the same drive when it comes to working out and makes sure to hit the gym with me anytime he can. Without him, I might still be a "cardio queen"!! LOL He introduced weight lifting to my routine, once again.  He only wants the best for me and my health and for that I love him!!

-My Mom, although she doesn't workout with me, she still supports me. She has been through everything with me, health and fitness just being one of the many challenges.

-CalorieCount definitely plays a HUGE part in my support system. To have so many other people in the same boat with me, makes it just a little easier everyday :) Not to mention the helpful tools on this website!!

This is a great topic - I couldn't fo this wihout my support system!!!!

1. My husband, who loves me no matter what I weigh but wants me to be healthy. He cooks for me and makes my [healthy] lunches so I don't eat at the work cafeteria. He's the best!

2. My friend Barb that I met here on CC. She's a great friend and cheerleader, and is there for me when I have those oops moments or I'm on a plateau just as much as when I'm losing weight fast and furious.

3. My community at Curves. They keep me accountable, and they're all really encouraging and helpful on my exercise journey. I got told last week by someone that I was an inspiration to her. I didn't know what to say! I've never been an inspiration to anyone before (that I know of) and certainly not ever about weight loss. :-)

Me, myself and I.

 QFT.

What happens when you have a bad day where/who helps you out then?

1. My best friend - She lives in another city, but is always really proud and supportive of my choice to get healthier. On the other hand, when I go to visit, she's also my greatest detractor -- because we are both huge food nuts, and go restauranting when I visit. (When we lived in the same city, we'd eat out once every couple of weeks, but now that we only see each other on occasion, it turns into a huge thing.)

2. My sister - Most of my family is overweight and undermines my efforts by trying to get me to eat what they are eating. My sister is the exception, and she's been eating better now too. My parents only live with me during the summer, so in a couple of weeks their influence (and pop and chips) will be gone.

3. CC. Reading your posts helps a lot. Reading about success is inspiring, and reading about obstacles helps me know that I'm not the only one that has challenges.

1. my fiance- he never wanted me to loose weight. then one day he suprised me by saying that he realized that i never seemed happy in my own skin. that motivated me to look at myself and realize that he was right. he never gets tired of trying my cooking-even though im new at it :) he eats gluten free with me without complaint and is even harder on wait staff at restaurants than i am about it! he is always positive and always seems to know exactly what to say to cheer me up or keep me motivated!

2. my mom- after hearing about how CC was helping me, i got her to join and now we check in with each other to make sure we're sticking to our healthier eating. her body also seems to have gone through everything im going through and shes always supportive when i call her up and ask "why the hell is my body doing this?"

3. CC- im addicted! if im bored i get online and pore through forums or groups and find so many tips and stories and ways to keep going!

My biggest supporters....

1. My Husband, he has NEVER told me I need to lose weight but he has been 100% behind me everytime I try especially this time!

2. My Daughter, she does really good telling me when I really do not need to eat something, good at helping me get out and walk or ride our bikes and a good sounding board when I need it.

3. Online support, this is CC, facebook and a few other places I use to blog, games I play to keep my hands busy on the PC instead of feeding my face and also keeps me connected with extended family to help remind me I want to look decent for the next time I see them all!

This was a great thread idea lili769, you are right, sometimes we forget the people that help us the most!!

1. My boyfriend...he has been nothing but supportive throughout the entire process.  He kept me going through the rough patches and he praises all of my successes.

2. My mother...she got into it after I did and she loves calling me and asking me what I weighed that day.  She thought my goal weight should have been 5 pounds ago, so I can't wait until she sees me at such a low weight (we live a few hours away)

3. A woman from work...she always tells me that I should be proud of myself and that I'm doing so good.  It's always nice to hear.

My mom - Always tells me I look better, even if I've only lost a few pounds. She always encourages my healthy eating, and has stopped buying what she knows are tempting foods for me (like chocolate), since I still live with my parents.

My cat - LOL for all the reasons lili769said. I love my kitty

CC - Gives me something to do when I'm bored, and people are always supportive.

My Boyfriend- He's a constant supporter who always makes me feel loved and tells me how proud of me he is with each new achievement. He doesn't hesitate to tell me when I'm being too obsessive or point out when I'm making excuses but it is always in a respectful way. I definately wouldn't be nearly as successful without him.

My puppy- She loves me unconditionally and doesn't judge. She is a great motivation with my running because even when I want to give up I push on knowing that I need to tire her out as much as possible so she doesn't eat my shoes. She doesn't mind cuddling with me even with my post work out stink.

Ladies at Curves- They're always good for a laugh and some extra encouragement. The conversation makes the workouts go by faster. They also pretend to be entertained by my lame jokes :)

I have many other supporters as well who always encourage me and never try to change me to who they think I could be; my old boss and my best friend especially.

Cats are great aren't they? :) I would still be 17 pounds heavier if my cat cared enough about my weight to guilt trip me into doing things I don't wanna do. Cats are too busy to nag you, they care too much about whether or not you've cuddled that day to notice how big or small you've gotten.

I agree... I've done this for myself and didn't even tell anyone I was changing my habits.

I must admit that I love when someone notices my weight loss (24 lbs) and that motivates me - but there hasn't been anyone that I've gone to for support.

Okay, I'll give my dog some credit for getting so excited every time he sees me getting ready for a walk!
