bing cherry calories?
bing cherries
They're said to be 90 calories per cup, is that with or without the seeds (of course you don't eat the seeds but, Lots of nice cherries around this time of year and it's driving me crazy!
The entries on CC show 1 c. of cherries without pits = 90 calories, 57 with.
57 with the pits? wont the pits add cals?
Always go by the weight in grams, not the volume. The pits can't add calories because you don't eat them, right?
1 cup with pits and yields=74cl
Oh god I loooooove bing cherries but I'm allergic to 90% of raw fruit and veggies and those precious little dark red gems are one of them. ='[ If it's cooked I can eat it, but who's gonna cook their cherries? It loses all it's yummy-ness. =(
Oh and my advice (which is what I do with everything I eat!) is weigh it all in grams. My guess is the pits take up some volume where otherwise there would be cherry "meat" in seedless cherries maybe?
