In the interests of getting past the binge, I'd just accept that it happened,  count it as yesterday and just eat normally today.

Seconding Hannah.

What is your intake like normally? How tall are you, how much do you weigh and how old are you, and how active are you?

I JUST DID THAT last night. and the  night before.

ughhhhhhh alcohol binges. they are the worst.

just when i thought i had control over my binges, i get hammered with some friends and come home at 3 am ..eating everything in sight.

want to retrict today? but i know thats going to backfire in a few hours.

like two days in a row!!! and this happens like once every three weeks ughh.

im never going to lose weight like thisFrown

im 5'5 162.8 (todayCry) 19 ..and i exercise on the elliptical every day for 25 min ..plus walking around during the day to class.

but TODAY ..im going to be inside all day, because i have 3 papers due tomorrow . fml.

thank you for the post...because im at a total loss right now, and i do this way too often. dont know what to do

Loseweight1234: DO NOT RESTRICT ANYTHING! This just leads to binge restrict and a vicious cycle.

At 5'5, 19, and 162.8, at light to moderate activity per this accurate calculator for under 21's, http://www.bcm.edu/cnrc/bodycomp/bmiz2.html you burn anywhere between 2300 and 2700 calories. To safely and steadily lose a pound a week, a sustainable rate of loss, you would need to eat anywhere from 1800 to 2200 calories a day. Make sure you're eating enough and your binges will likely subside.

Today, I would contemplate taking a short walk or similar to break up the monotony of writing papers. I know three is a lot but the air will get you moving about even if just for a half hour and the fresh air and the break will likely do your stress levels good.

And of course, alcohol doesn't help! ): Calorically or on your health. If you can, consider cutting back - at least not to a point where you're going to get so sozzled you become a human eating machine? No one will think less of you!

Did you randomly wake up in the middle of the night and go down to the kitchen for a snack? What did you eat! I would count it as today's calories but... honestly, don't get too mixed up in it. Just go exercise, drink loads of water (to flush your excess sodium) and eat healthy veggies! :)

don't massively restrict!!! just eat something small (150-300 cals) at 2-3 hr intervals to keep your metabolism going, move around a lot (i.e. pacing around your room while you read for your papers) and don't overdo it on the caffeine, if you end up pulling an all nighter, go for water instead.

i binged and had about 1,100 calories for breakfast...at 7:30 this morning, but then i had been up since 6:00 cooking! i'm remedying that by having fruit/yoghurt every couple of hours.

a trick against bingeing- if it's alcohol induced, try, try, try to 'get it into your head' that you WON'T binge. if there's one thing that alcohol tends to do, it's increase your determination!! have a tonne of water instead and just head direction bed, then hopefully by the time you see your bed you'll be so enticed by it that you can't be bothered to turn around and go in search of food.

and also... alcohol has a ridiculous amount of calories, especially if you get the sugary girly cocktails or spirits with full-sugar mixers.  it's best to eschew it in general, but if you do want to drink, try vodka & sparkling water with lots of lemon.   you can still get pleasantly buzzed on it but it's a less 'blurry' kind of drunk, and you stay better hydrated from all the water.

hei dude/dudie..I did worse than you..I binge in 4000calories..lol..I count it today and usually i only eat when I'm hungry after binge which probably would be night time but its diff today because i'm eating out with friends..try something NOT too many but enough to feel full..Try fats stuff instead of carbs loaded..

I would just wait until you are hungry.

Thinking how/what when/if/how much you should eat only makes you think about it more, and the more you unnecessarily think about food the more you end up hating it and rebelling against the fact that it is not enjoyable to think about food more then you need to!

I don’t think you need to force yourself to eat a yoghurt or little snacks if you are genuinely stuffed and not hungry, I think developing a normal eating pattern is the best thing, which is to just wait until you are hungry and then eat!

And 2 - 3 am is the WORST time to binge hey! It makes you feel so bad that you have gone and done that before the day has even started! It never feels good to binge but it feels especially bad when you do it so early!

I found that the less I think about it, the better; if I stuff up and binge or have food when I am not hungry, then that is that, I just move on and wait until I am hungry next and then eat. I don’t try to eat a certain way or over think things. I just wait until I am hungry again, as it is the most normal way to go about eating.

Do not start a "my binge is bigger than yours" thread.

If I see many more "oh don't worry, I eat like [xyz] amounts sometimes!" and "I had a HUUGE breakfast" type posts it is going to become an issue. We are not here to one-up each other's disordered habits, rather to support and help overcome them.

thanks everyone.

yesterday i went to work it off at the gym instead for 6 hours, but not consecutively of course.  and i did eat, too much maybe but not entirely a binge.  i'm too scared too look at the scale but thanks for everyone's comforting posts and good luck.
