binge but got back on track
Go back to your normal, healthy diet and usual meal patterns, drink plenty of fluids, stay off the scales and you'll be just fine.
not trying to be rude at all , i know exactly where your coming from as iam young to . but you post alot about binges and maybe you should try to figure out why you binge? it would help to eliminate them. i FINALLY figured out that i wasnt eating enough and the weight that i wanted to lose is finally coming off and i can actually eat MORE =]
i am also guilty of bingeing from time to time... my last binge included a bowl of oily hongkong noodles with every bit of sinful fatty beef and MSG.... followed by about half a bag of chips! anyway, im still recovering from that binge, i have gone back to my daily routine of oatmeal breakfast, salad lunch and a light dinner and limited physical activity (light office work... got an activity restriction from my doctor) i've just recently gone back to my original weight (right before the binge-WEEK) and it took me also a week to drop the weight :)
I have the same problem as you guys....
Question though... How do you control your binges before they start? Do you have the self control to stop once you get a little into the binge?
Because I know with me, once I start I can't stop and it is pretty easy to set me off. It's like once I eat one cookie, I can't stop at that.... rather, I have to eat them all till they are gone cause in the back of my mind I am thinking, "Oh, I can't eat this when I am eating healthy" :( and then all my hard work in the weeks past do not amount to anything.

i try to leave the house whenever i feel a full on binge coming, :D anythig and everything that would distract me from the binge really... i use the same technique to quit smoking although i still have a puff every now and again. i guess its the same with bingeing... i still have that double choco chip cookie every now and again but i try to distract myselffrom eating everything all at once :)
Well, Helpless.. I use to binge on things I would tell myself I cound not have. Like... Chips, Candy, Cookies, and Ice Creme... YUM! Anyway.. I have what I want.. I have to have a butterfinger every 2 weeks, and I work for it.. I walk to the store and I go get it.. Only taking enough for the butterfingers, and a water.. I eat the butterfinger when I get home..
Chips.. I have 1 grab bag on the weekend.. ( Saturday only)
Cookies--- 1 oatmeal cookie, can become a snack for me in the middle of the week.. Just one.. (Wednesday)
Ice Creme.. I get those little cups of Ice Creme now, and I only eat one.. By the time I'm ready for another one, the kids would have ate them all anyway.. So no prob there..(Friday)
I give my body what it wants, when I want to give it.. I don't let the feeling to have it control me.. When you tell your body No to something you use to eat all the time, you will find yourself rushing it down once you have it without thinking.
So I don't binge by doing this.. I use to do it in all my other diet.. Cut it out, and then all at once when it's around me.. WOW! I can't stop, and I can't put it down.. Going back for more and more, and then.. Here comes the pounds later on, because I can't stop the want..
I have 3 kids, and these things are going to come into the house every once in a while.. But I control it.... I control what I have.. Once I've had what ever it was I wanted.. I'm okay until the next time around.
