I binge on weetabix too...i can eat 12 in one sitting( along with LOADS of other stuff)...then i hate myself for the rest of the day...
I'd say eat bigger breakfasts (maybe 500 cals worth, at least?) to accommodate for your heavy exercise. And get rid of the weetabix and sultanas!
This was the reply I gave you last time and nothing has materially changed.
http://www.bcm.edu/cnrc/bodycomp/bmiz2.html If you enter your stats (72" tall and 119lbs) into this site aimed at teens you'll see that your BMI is extremely low and you're at least a stone underweight. Too much of anything won't cause you any harm in the circumstances. Have you spoken to your parents about it? Have you had any advice from a doctor? Are you calorie-counting to gain weight?
You'll also see from the same site that someone your age/size who is very active needs 3520cals a day just to maintain their weight. So if you're going to calorie count you need to be aiming for at least 4000 a day to help you gain weight and get stronger. If you don't like crisps and chocolate you don't have to eat them. However, you have to find plenty of alternative energy-dense (high-calorie) nutrition-dense foods to make up that 2000 cal shortfall you've got at the moment. It's going to be incredibly difficult for your to overeat.
Do go to see a doctor.
You need some consistancy if you are to get to a healthy weight. gi-jane is spot on about the amount of calories you need, but if you don't have a plan you can stick to, it will be hard.
Try planning your meals in advance. You can even log all the food you intend to eat for the whole day. Use the Advice section to learn about good nutrition and balanced diet. You will need to stick to your plan every day, but it might prevent the binge/starve cycle you've gotten yourself into.
okay, firstly, these don't really sound like serious crazy binges. What you eat sounds about the same as my teen bro (who is completely sedetary btw!) and everyone knows teen boys eat a ton so don't fret about it too much or you'll become obsessed.
The fact that you're counting your calories, protein carbs etc suggests you are thinking a bit too much about what you eat so therefore have an urge to break away from this and...well just eat what you fancy.
Clearly the main reason for these 'binges' is the fact you're not eating enough. How are you gonna build muscle with an apple for breakfast and egg white omlettes and salad sandwiches for lunch?? sounds like the diet of a faddy dieter to me.
The way to stop is with 3 SUBSTANTIAL meals a day and keep some healthy snacks on hand for when you get peckish (maybe prepare snacks the day before and keep them in a bag in the cupboard), that way you'll know what you can have for the day and won't be tempted to scour the cupboard and fridge for anything and everything.
Lastly, I suggest keeping busy to prevent a binge of boredom.
Hope this helps
is this a joke.... you're taking in less than a thousand cals. (not including the binges).
you eat like that and you're gonna binge. plan to eat more. simple
