I was behaving really well today- until I went to the mall and saw Mrs. Fields cookies!! There was a promotion at Mrs Fields and we get 3 free cookies for every 3 cookies we purchase. I origianlly planned to eat one only, and get the rest for my family. However I just coulnd't resist and binged 5 BIG COOKIES IN ONE GO!!!Now I'm feeling so bloated and stuffed and horrible :( I had been doing really well- I went out for dinner but I made some really healthy options. Stupid evil chocolate Mrs. Field cookies! Argh! *frustrated*
Now that I've exceeded my daily intake by around 1000 kcals, should I try to make up for it tomorrow by eating a less, or just jump back onto the wagon and ignore today's binge?? Tomorrow will be another "hard" day- it's my friend's birthday and I have to attend her birthday party. I'll definately eat a lot of cakes, cookies, chocolates, pizza... all the fatty and unhealthy foods you can name it. Help! Any advice???

I guess i have fallen a few times as well. I would suggest that you exercise alot to burn the calories you went over by, i guess there's some food you can not resist, but always think of how good you ll look when u lose the weight. That way, u ll avoid being tempted
self-flaggellation...no, i'm kidding! forgive yourself and start fresh.
move forward! I ate about 5 times as many chips as I planned on yesterday -- I just didn't stop.
Today is a new day -- eat your normal daily allotment so you don't REALLY confuse your body!

eat your normal cals and put it out of your head. just move on.
even when i binge i stay within my calorie limits >.>;
I see... but i was just wondering.. if I keep on binging (say, I binge 3 times a week) and "forgiving myself" without making up for it, will I gain weight?
I say every day is a new day and start over If you keep feeling bad
that could make you depressed and lead to more over eatting ,beleive me
I have done that a lot and gained 50lbs in only two years, time to
forgive your self and move on and hopefully we'll both be thinner and
healther.
cut back for a few days - not enough in one day to starve yourself - claim the cals back over 5 days or so.
you could also exercise a little more too for a few days.
i have fallen off the wagon on a number of occasions - hence this is why i am the size i am now.
forgive yourself - its only a blip - you can get back on the wagon.
i should listen to my own advice - when i fall off i torture myself literally and find it hard to get back on.
dont lose heart - you can do it.

sometimes you have to guilt yourself into not eating it! lol!!
It's better to move on and not feel guilty or try to overcompensate.(but a little extra exercise isn't a bad thing, but OK if you can't).
But watch out for post-binge guilt and depression, leading to more binges!!!
Of course, if you do "binge" several times a week then you have to start asking yourself what triggers it and are there ways to avoid them -- for example, I have a ban on tortilla chips in my house as they are really hard to resist. As I get more comfortable in my lifestyle, I'll practice having only a serving (sometimes put them in baggies for myself).
Also be mindful of what you're eating. Did you REALLY take time to savor and enjoy all 5 of those cookies? Probably not.
And plan for treats. If you don't deprive yourself, but eat treats in moderation, you're less likely to binge.
Good luck!

what's the point of forgiving yourself if you're just going to do it again?
it's not like i don't sympathize with you. i just binged. so now i'm going to eat as little dinner tonight as i possibly can without my dad knowing, and then, if possible, vomit it up later.
the only true way to lose weight as fast as you can?
-starve.
have fun dears.

I try to relax now and not freak out .... as unless it was a massive binge I know it will come off and in fact might help more to come off as I actually feel like I am not starving myself. Although I do mini-binges my weight overall is still going down albeit slowly and I don't feel like I am totally starving.
To me there is no excuse to binge. Im sorry if im rather straight forward with this. I had a binging problem, not with food but alcohol, i used to drink a 5th and a 12 pack a day to hide my emotions, even to the point i would stop breathing and freak everyone out. Ive been hospitalized 2 times from doing so aswell. My last time i went on a rampage 20 yrs of emotions stored up i suppose, then later that night i wound up in the hospital with my inner forearm ripped out from a broken toilet that i ripped outof the floor and threw it. *Yeah that toilet jumped up and bit me*
Think of it as a bully, you eventually get tired of it, your self esteem during this process lowers, you feel bad that you couldnt stand up to it. Just one day you will have to beat its butt or you will be beat down by it. This may be something most wouldnt have said, but this weighs on my mind everytime i see a binge post. There is really no way around binging except to smack it back down the hole it came from.
Not saying you can treat yourself, treat yourself dangit, its not a diet its a life style. Try not to have more than what you need *serving size* around the house at a time of your binging foods. You are less apt to binge if you have to cook it. My wife binges on sweets she has done that for yrs, she buys 3 boxes and they are gone within 3 days. She has stopped it and went along with this plan of counting calories and has already lost 10lbs my son has too, he was forming the same eating habbits of my wife.
ACTUAL binging is bad, keeping it in the calorie limit is good, not really binging if you do that.
Im sorry if i sounded mean, im not meaning it that way, but some people need to hear the truth. If its a once in a while thing then yeah forget it, go on as normal, but if its 3-4 times a week there is a problem it is an addiction, please seek help from family, drs, whoever will offer it.

Hi I'm about 138 1/2 lbs, 11.8 % body fat and I'm about 5'5 1/2, 18 years old. Anyway, I was wondering, just today I was at a pool party and ate about 1000-1200 calories in crap food(2 burgers, some cheese cubes, crackers, a few m&ms) anyway, how do I negate the fact I ate all that crap? Can I just not eat as much tomorrow and the next day or what? And how quick does it take to put on weight?
If its a random thing Colin i wouldnt worry much about it cept to just go on as normal, you could exercise more to burn half that off, but other than that i wouldnt worry bout it much.
Oy! I just ate a ****load of chocolate peanut butter cookies. I'm definitely going to go to the gym for as long as I can, drink ice water, and have some caffinated tea later, but does anyone have any other suggestions?
would anyone recomend taking a natural laxative of some sort so I'm not totally bloated and feeling self-hatred tomarrow morning?
