Binge no more!

Hi, I am a 16 year old girl and was one of those people who ate well for two or three days and then binged for one whole day. I felt like I could not control myself, until now! I figured maybe I should give some advice as to what is working for me... Okay-

Well I have a maintenance right now of about 1, 750- to 1800. I am trying to up that, but recentley coming out of starvation mode has made some weight reappear! Anyway, what I was saying, I would eat 1000 calories by the time my snack before dinner was done. So lets say 400 calories in the morning, maybe a snack or so, a 100 calories, and then 300 calories at lunch, and then 200 calorie snack a few hours before dinner. This would leave me with about 750 -800 calories I could eat at dinner. By leaving myself with a huge amount to eat for dinner, I stopped binging. After dinner, I would maybe eat an apple, or have a nice cool glass of water, or some tea. Last night, however, I did not feel totally full after dinner and had a 140 calorie granola bar, it filled me up:) I generally do not eat past 8, making me hungry by 8 the next morning.

So, I guess basically to say this quickly, eat well during the day, make yourself full, but make sure you leave yourself some room for dinner, a good amount of room, incase your plans change and you need ot go out for dinner and not stay in.

Drinking water helps a lot to, also, drinking tea with some splenda helped me also. I have not binged in almost one week. I am so proud...

One more thing, i would write down on an index card with lines everday of the week. At the end of the day, I would mark if i did or good bad or okay that day on the line that matched that day. It helped my stay accountable and happy!

Good luck :)

Thats a really good idea and I agree with it. I like to have enough calories left in case something comes up, like going for ice-cream or a bigger dinner or simple hunger. Its hard something though because you feel like your going over your calories because your eating more in a shorter space of time. By overall I agree and am glad its working for you :)

I do see what your saying about you feel like you are eating more. That does make sense! Well thanks for reading :)
