I "Binge" Every night (1500 Calories late at night) but i am still on a calorie deficit.....
I've read that it doesn't matter when you eat, just how many calories you take in, as far as weight loss is concerned. That being said, it can't be good for your stomach and other organs to have that much food crammed in at one time. Plus, psychologically, you're still in whatever unhealthy relationship you have with food.
Especially if you're just starting, though, I would think it would be fine until you get used to running a deficit and start looking for other ways to eat healthier or other places to cut out more calories.
Whether it matters or not about when you eat the calories, it certainly does matter how you eat the calories.
By saying you binge every night, I'm assuming you don't mean you just eat a large meal...I'm assuming you mean you binge in an uncontrolled manner on a large amount of caloric foods. If that's the case, then yes this certainly is a bad habit.
If you have a deficit, you may very well continue to lose weight, however you really want to eventually get to the point where you don't have to worry about calorie counting and maintaining a deficit (once you hit your goal of course). Eating should be something you enjoy and plan on to a certain extent. If all of your calories are going toward late night binges, I would suggest that you try eating more in the daytime to prevent that
