i do the same thing. as a matter of fact i did it last night. i eat so healthy and maintain my calories and go to the gym 4x per then bam, crazy binge. i dont why and i dont do it that often but i always feel terrible, terrible about it. you are not alone. i started to have a relax day on satrudays, meaning instead of eating 1500-1600 calories like i usually do, i will eat 1800-2000, which is good for me. it helped w/binges but last night was my anniversary and i had some wine then bam, i ate so much sweet food!!!!!

I used to binge 2-3 times a week.  Massive binges.  At least 2000 calories in one sitting.  It usually happens when I feel really deprived and/or really hungry.  So far, I've gone two weeks without binging.  My goal is to go for another 2 weeks.  And so on.
great job, aum!! keep up the good work. if you feel weak, i am here for you if you need a friend.

well 2-3 time of binging a week is too much i hope you could lower that number as low as possible coz its not healthy 2 bing i binge once a monthe at most and i feel so guilty about it till the next time i weight my self and got back 2 my normal weight my last weight was 130 lbs wiz 7.9 body fat percent but i do have a clue why i binge but i'm not sure if its right or wrong i do binge coz i keep eating right wiz low fat and no junk at all so whene i binge my body tries 2 eat as much as it could coz he know he will be ristricted again from that junk for a long time so may less restricted diet will help me alot and DAISY thnx 4 accepting my friendship i hope we could chat soon

btw whene i saw ur pic u have the same body frame i have but i'm a guy......lol
i am sure that is why i binge, also, b/c i cut some much sweets from my diet. but i am slowly healthily allowing a little more.  like last night i a 80 calorie healthy choice ice cream bar. it was good
I'm a once a week binger.  Days will go by and I'll realize that I hadn't binged.  Instead of being proud and continuing a binge-free lifestyle I reward myself with a binge.  Just a roller coaster of binging and then restricting.  Life is all about finding that balance.  It is not easy but we can all work to get there together.
I noticed that my willpower is at its weakest when I am tired.  I want to be comforted so instead of taking a nap (which isn't always convenient) I eat instead.
if your binging only once a month i can understand that, everyone likes to enjoy a big meal. but if your talking about consuming massive amounts of food to the point that your stomach swells, and you dont stop til u feel like your going to throw up, and then you sit and think about how guilty you are and how much you ruined your diet. then i think you have a problem. binge eating disorder is very common but many people dont know about it, but it can effect your healthy greatly, mentally as well. this is usually a result of dieting. depriving yourself of your desires results in a huge binge of food when you allow yourself 'forbidden' foods, like on a special occasion, or when you are stressed out. people tend to go overboard.

if i were you i would try to allow yourself ONE treat every now and then, like one candy bar, or one scoop of ice cream, and never allow yourself a full day to binge because this can get out of control. and once you realize you have eaten too much STOP, dont think that because you already ruined the day that you should keep going. if this continues i would seek help, binge eating disorder is not somthing that can be cured by oneself, trust me i know...good luck
I have been having the same problem and I know more than most how frustrating it can be. But recently I came to realize how my emotions drove me to eat. When I binged I was trying to fill an emotional void. I've been going through some hard times with my family and everything so I tried to use food to fill the gap that wasnt being filled by my home life. So this may factor into why you binge.

Is there something you feel you are lacking, that you try to fill with food?

I wish you the best
and good luck!

>>> wiz 7.9 body fat percent <<<

That sounds scary low for a body fat %.   How old are you, how many calories do you eat in a day and what types of calories are they?

You mention that to make up for your binge, you have as low possible calorie day the next day.  You should go back to a healthy way of living the next day, not go to the other extreme.  Extemes are NOT good for your body.

You sound like you are a teen.  If so, then your problem is much bigger as kids need to eat more than adults.  Adult bodies have grown and are able to live with calorie counting conditions.  Kids need alot more calories than adults to ensure they grow properly, and this includes fat.

Women
  • Athletes = 14 - 20%
  • Fitness =  21 - 24 %
  • Acceptable = 25 - 30%
Men

  • Athletes = 6-13%
  • Fitness =  14-17 %
  • Acceptable = 18-25%
Sounds like your binges are probably due to a lack of fat in your diet. Your body needs fat, and if you don't get it, it will crave it.  Hence the binge.
