Hey guys, another typical post here on CC, i see so many ppl with similar habits to me i.e. being good all week and blowing it at the weekend! i ate my weight in choc and bread this wkend and now feel extremely guilty about it...its done now and i regret it majorly! was wondering if this one weekend should have a major effect on my weight loss or is it still possible to lose a pound or two this week even with these surplus calories...any real life experiences of this? or will i have to wait another week or two before any more loss? i weighed 144lbs two months ago and at my lowest yet weighed 136lbs on friday...i weighed this morn and was 140 but I am hoping and praying that this was just water weight eeeekkk fingers crossed!!

please help i just need a lil reassurance that i havent wasted all my good efforts over two months on one stupid binge weekend:( xxx

In order to gain 4 pounds of FAT, you would have had to consume 14,000 calories over your calorie output. It's pretty much impossible. Yes, you might have put on a lot of fat. But trust me, your just feeling guilty right now, its never as bad as you make it seem after a slip up.

No matter what you do, 3500 calories still equals a pound. So if you burn 2000 a day, you would have to have consumed 5500 just to gain one single pound.

Don't let scales fool you - the actual weight of food and water retention can account for almost a ten pound discrepancy between what the scale tells you and what you actually weigh.

I am huge compared to you and I  eat way to many calories just about ever Friday and Saturday.  I eat well all day but my vice is booze.  The way I make up for it is by eating 100 or 200 calories less per day the following week to make me at least feel better about my self.  I have lost 2.5 lbs a week for almost 8 months so either partying burns tons of calories or there really is something to the zig zag calorie theory.
