I've been doing so well and lost about 4 stone...but i've been feeling so low since coming back from uni, im going travelling to india this weds with a close friend. I think it must be hormonal and due to tiredness but i KEEP bingeing, and today has been the worse day! i feel so sad and disgusted with myself, and so so low....i think im premenstural but I just want to cry n curl up in a ball and go to sleep and I'm so irritable with myslelf and everyone else! I also feel angry that no one understands some of the things im going through-not just issues about my body but more personal ones.
I've got to psyche myself up for a friends birthday meal in an hour...sorry for the rant i just needed to get rid of some stress!
From my experience, bingeing is the result of being too restrictive with your "diet". Are you working out alot and eating too little? Keep up with the workouts, but eat more...you will not gain weight and if anything it will give you more energy.
If you're not working out...start working out. I find that I eat when I'm bored and working out feels good, gets me strong and keeps me busy. Even when I'm done with a workout, I eat better.
Don't feel like working out (don't recommend that), still up the calories. Chances are you're being too hard on yourself.
As for this binge: get over it (tough love) and realize it MAY happen again, but tomorrow is a whole new day and new attitude.
I've struggled with binge eating and have come pretty close to beating it. I think it will always be with me. I've lost 71 pounds since I made a real effort to "quit". Now I only have about 10 more to lose, so I've rededicated, set a goal, and I'm working hard to combat bingeing and lose these last 10 pounds. I want to get to my maintenace phase so bad I can taste it! Follow my blog about these last 10 pounds and bingeing at http://approachingthefinish.blogspot.com/
I'd love your comments and feedback on there!
