I binged!!!!! Why did I gain so much?
I binged on ice cream chicken nuggets and peanut butter cookies at my friend's house yesterday and went from 94.0 to 100.5 IN ONE DAY. I feel so awful now and don't know what to do.
It started with one small scoop of ice cream and then I just couldn't stop. I ate about 4000 calories, but that's not enough to gain 6.5 pounds!!!!! I know it's probably water retention but I'm so mad at myself. Any suggestions on how to lose the weight fast?
The most fat you could potentially gain from this is a little more than half a pound. You probably didn't actually gain that much. Keep it in perspective, don't worry about it, and go back to eating healthy. Make sure you get enough calories every day that you don't feel restricted and need to binge.
Hiya
Could the reason you binged in the first place be because you are being too harsh on yourself and looking for the fast results (Any suggestions on how to lose the weight fast) comment says it all
I have found that sticking to the minimum calories actually kills my metabolism and I am much better staying at the 1500, 1600 mark with the occasional low day when I can. I try and do at least an hours activity per day on a sedentry setting (really easy to do).
I have consistenly lost over the last 4 weeks, 8lbs in total. During that time I have still had chocolate, pizza, kebab and alchohol but a qtr of what I would do normally. My will power has been really great because this site gives you the tools and the willpower to do it.
my sedentry burn rate is 1700 which I was amazed at as I never thought it would be that low. I am 5,4 and a start weight of 12-13 down to 12-5 now. I think that's were I have always gone wrong as I thought it would be higher to maintain 12-12.
Don't worry about yesterday, tomorrow makes a big difference, I have found that if I keep repeating " I have a choice" every time I go to eat that I am much more disiplined.
You are not a failure you just made a choice.

You weigh 100 lbs and you are trying to lose weight? How tall are you?

i agree. we need a reality check here to make sure your not too low on the BMI scale!
Seriously? I eat meals bigger than you. You need to be very very careful you aren't hurting your body. Anything you do in your 20's as far as neglecting your body (by eating too little) is going to have huge ramifications when you are older. Shtuff will ache, hurt and burn and since you are a lady, probably break (like bones!)
Also, visit the bathroom then weigh again. Maybe you're loaded up with ummm "used food" might explain why you feel bad.
What type of food should not be eaten?
Calorie Count does not prescribe a particular diet or tell people to avoid particular foods. We only ask that you eat a balanced diet... Read more
