I am having major trouble with bingeing. Nowadays, it seems like I'll binge on almost anything, really anything.  I hardly keep anything except liquids in my apartment because of this.  My bingeing is sometimes caused my emotions, but I believe that now it has gotten worse because I have been restricting so many foods.

As soon I mentally label foods as "unsafe", I want them even more and eventually binge on them.  I would like to lose weight without having so many "rules". Even the thought of counting calories makes me want to binge because as soon as I approach my "limit", I begin to feel deprived.

I guess basically I am asking how can I lose the last 10 pounds without feeling so restricted and deprived? And without feeling the urge to binge constantly? And for that matter, how can I stop bingeing when I do have food around?

You are pushing yourself into disordered eating over 10 lbs. It is not worth it.

I expect you are at a healthy weight now.

You are not bingeing -- you are likely restricting to the point where the body simply pushes past your restriction to take in as close as it can to a proper maintenance amount (2000 to 2500 or so).

You will seriously mess up your health and metabolism if you stay on the road you are on. So, first make meal plans (see a nutritionist to get started) that lock you into a 2000 calorie intake of balanced foods throughout the day. No restrictions beyond that either.

Looks like you may have a history of eating disorders, so all the more reason to go see a therapist and your doctor and jump in with both feet to deal with these spiraling issues sooner rather than later.
