i'll be posting my intake of calories everyday in hopes that showing all of you what i eat will keep me from OVER EATING.

hi laura...well you said it...i have a healthy lifestyle...except when boyfriend brings over junk...i haven't eaten fastfood in years, no soda, tea, no white foods (sugar, flour, bread)....so what keeps my weight on the binges.

i don't know that stopping your snacks will help...i notice when i say no more (fill in the blank) it is all i think about eating...but i also know if you can get rid of the trigger foods you will not have them there to binge on.  so for now try getting rid of the honey nut cherrios and maybe even the bread...at least then you won't have them as a snack to trigger a binge...

like you if i could stop these binges i would be in great shape...good luck..
Laura.  No doubt.  We have to beat the binge!!!

I am trying to include planned snacks that are healthy and satisfying.  So, I eat five times a day.  I am on a 21-day challenge at day 3, so we will see how that works out.  So far so good.

So, maybe plan something substantial for snacks and save the bread to have with meals.  Cheerios....ditch 'em.  Shoot, I can eat a a whole box.  Dangerous!!!  Of course my recent binge was on...what else....cereal!!!  And don't even get me started on peanut butter!

I am a bread lover, too.  Right now I am limiting my bread to two slices a day with a meal.

I added you to my friends list.  :-)

mardykay - I am very proud of you.

You should fill out your profile and use the journal.  That way we can give you personal feed back, as your friends can make comments in your journal.

If your are interested in that, go to the Community and click Profile and that is where you fill it in.  Journal is located under community, too.  Plus, if you click Friends under Community, you can read all their recent journal posts.

Plus, there will be a list of your favorite threads that you post to.  They rotate order according to which one has the newest post.

It's pretty cool!  :-)
Well, I already owe you guys a big debt. You kept me on track last night. As I was eating my supper (healthy, appropriate portions) my mind kept going to the cheese in the fridge and how much I wanted to have my favorite snack, melted cheese on crackers with OXO chicken stock sprinkled on it.

But, after supper, I logged on, entered my food for the night and reviewed some posts. And I DID NOT binge!! Yay!! So thank you all for being here.
great job...i ended my day well overall...thanks to all of you...

oh no I overdid it today....ugh everyone at work was talking food and I just had to listen..... stoped at the gas station and had a capachino, choose med, just couldn't talk myself into small, but did go low fat.  then when I got home put the dog out, and spoted the kettle corn....that did it, popped it and ate most of the bag think I stopped with about a cup left.  I am stuffed....maybe I just won't eat dinner or maybe just a salad?  some fruit?  What do you think, I would love some feed back today.
mardykay, Well, all we can do is to eat healthy at the next meal.  I don't believe in purging or starving.  But sure, a veggie salad is always good for the body.  You can't go wrong with that.   If you want something hot, make veggie soup with some broth and frozen veggies and season to taste.
Hey cherrim, I am a "recovered" anorexic and bulimic (It started when I was 12-currently I am 21). Well not really "recovered" because as soon as I get better I fall back into my disgusting cycle. I am in therapy and I am hoping this time it works. The difference is that this time I am not resisting how I used to, I except my problems and I want to fix them. Trust me I know about all of the damage it causes to your body-Heart Damage, Teeth, throat, fingers, blood in your puke etc etc.
Hi all, i had 2 binges this week. Binge ruined my progress down to 110 lbs, i am now up to 119 and hating it.

my new year's resolution for this year is to beat this funk i'm in. i've already had 2 binges, so it's no more binge eating for january. i want to stcick to a calorie intake of 1200-1300 calories since i do desk work most of the time as a graphic designer. i do resistance 3-4 times a week and cardio 3 per week. working out is something i'm used to, it's the diet i wana nail down.

here for the support, and to give my own.
1200calgirl, Welcome aboard!!!!  :-)

You should go to the Community and click Profile and fill in your profile.  I have added you as one of my "Friends."

Also, under Community you can click Journal and write about how things are going for you.  Then you can go to Community and click Friends, you can read all your friends' recent journal entries.

Reading each others' journals is a great way we can keep tabs on each other.  It also lets us tag comments onto each others' entries.  :-)
Checking in.  How's everyone doing?  I am on Day 6 of no binges.  :-)

Tomorrow will be a challenge because I will be home alone after my hubby leaves for work.  I plan to visit my Mom after he leaves.
Ronda, that's awesome! 6 days binge free! WooHoo!!

You'll get through tomorrow. I'm glad you have a plan. I have faith in you.:) WooHoo!!! 6 days!! I'm happy for you. (sorry....a little hyper tonight) >:O)

I made it through the weekend, and I know I'll make it through the week. Just one day at a time.:)

Hope everyone else is doing ok. Take care!
Last post was the 2nd I believe ,when I was counting hrs. of not going on a  binge . I've made it to the 14th. I really don't know what changed except Ive started eating 3 meals and healthy snacks and counting calories. Have even had chocolate but only a bite   and chips and dip a portion not a bag. Have been drinking alot of water. Still been under stress which usually sets me off. Let you know how it goes in a day or two. If it wasn't for all of you I won't have any support. Maybe that is what has made the difference! thanks everyone.

christinak74 - Yay for a good weekend!!!!  Yes, we will have a successful week!!!

gypsierose - That is the strategy I am using, too.  Seems to help a lot.

mardykay - I am rooting for the Colts, too!  I grew up in Indianapolis.  I now live in Texas, north of Dallas.  I think Tony Romo will need therapy after he dropped the ball at the end of the game last weekend.  I feel so bad for him.  How embarrasing!!!  He's young, tho.  If he gets his groove back he can have a long career.  Yesterday's Colts game wasn't on my local channels.  I did watch the Patriots and Chargers.  Looking forward to next weeks Colts game.  I hope it is on my channels!!  I am so proud of them!!!.....Keep up the good work!!  Your stats look good!!
Happy Monday all!

I had a pretty good weekend, I do believe. Certainly binge free which is saying a lot for me. I even went to a friends house Saturday night where they decided to try out their chocolate fountain which they got for Christmas. I have read on here in places that as you clean the junk out of your body, you won't crave it and after a couple of pieces of fruit in that chocolate, I had had ENOUGH. It even made me a little sick to my stomach with it being so sweet. YAY!! Sunday, I didn't eat particularly healthy but my portions were reasonable, so I am happy.

Sounds like everyone else had a pretty good weekend and now we are off to a great start of a new week!
