Bionicos...how do you figure this one out?
I live in the los angeles area. We have some fruit stores/juice shops that sell an item called a Bionico.
I just love the things. I am sure they are very high in calories, but I don't know how to figure it out.
For anyone who doesn't know what they are, its chopped up mixed fruit with a type of cream and shredded coconut, raisens and a small amount of granola.
For the coconut, raisens and granola, they use just a very small condiment cup to measure it out, so I would guess about 2 tablespoons each maximum.
The fruit they use can vary. The one i get has mango, cantaloup, banana, strawberry and pineapple. They are all fresh fruits, not canned.
I don't know how much of each they put in or how much cream it added or what the cream is made of. I asked the owner of the place I go to how they make it and he told me they don't tell anyone this way they keep the business coming.
How do I figure out the calories for this? Its very filling and I will usually have it for an early dinner and then nothing else the rest of the night.
Thanks.
Shelly

I've been googling for a while and Bionico, put simply, is "Mexican fruit salad," and I tried googling for that, but I can't get an exact caloric figure.
The cream is "whipping cream", described as..
RE:Bionico (modified 0 times) truleelee heavy cream (35% butterfat). I call it whipping cream and it's in the dairy aisle. ~Lisa
But I'm sure you can find lower-calorie variations to make it yourself if you choose it's really that bad for you.
I can't seem to find a recipe with all of the measurements, though. I hope that helped a little bit?

I have been trying to find the recipe online as well for almost 2 years. I guess its some kind of big secret recipe?
I think the cream is made from a mixture if sour cream and sweetened condensed milk.
*sighs* this is frustrating.
