birth control question
if i want to stop taking my birth control, can i just stop? or what do i have to do? should i call the doctor?
Its perfectly fine to stop, you just have to make sure you finish that cycles pills. Stopping your pills in the middle of the pack will mess up your cycle for a while. It will take a few months for your cycle to get back to the way it was before you started taking BC, but thats normal.
Hope that helps :)
Yep...finish out this pack of pills and be done with them. Above poster is right...its not good to stop in mid-pack and it will take awhile (sometimes up to a year in extreme cases) to get your cycle back to normal depending on what you were on and how long you were on it.
If you are stopping the pills because you are trying to get pregnant I would suggest a quick trip to the OB just to make sure everything is in working order and to get on a prenatal vitamin just to just start things off right. If its not for a baby the doctor's visit isn't really necessary.
