Birthday delimas....

Quote  |  Reply

Do you have a "free day" on your birthday, or do you stick to the diet?? What if you had a free day the day before, too?? (I know..bad :P)  But, my mom's wanting to go to the Olive Garden.  It would be so much easier to just do whatever and not worry about it too much.  But, what would be the best thing to do?

Thanks :)

I had a free WEEK for my birthday! It was my 21st there's now way i was going to let a diet get in the way of my birthday. I've got the rest of the year to lose weight.

I agree with the above. Hun, it's your birthday. One day of the year. One week of the year. Whatever. You can easily get back on track after it.

Very true :D I'll just go for it!

I have learned that "free days" make me more stressed and upset the next day than they make me happy at the time.  Eating healthy is a lifestyle for me and I usually still try to be good even for bdays and such.

I would have a free day...your birthday is once a year. :) Eat what you want, just don't stuff yourself because then you'll feel yucky and sluggish and have a birthday filled with indigestion lol. :D And if you want to kinda eat healthy anyway, Olive Garden does have a healthy portion of their menu called "Garden Fare" (kind of cheesy I know). Here's the link if you want to have a quick look:

I've never tried it but it looks pretty good. :) Happy early birthday!

if i were you id go for it! but unfortunately my bday is on the 30th of dec right before new years and i feel that i gotta look good for new years Embarassed  i agree with aigirl, eat what u want but dont stuff yourself!

Go for it and enjoy yourself. Give yourself a limit, though. On my birthday, I attacked the buffet table and suffered massive heartburn for the entire day! D'oh.

On my birthday or special ocasions I'll splurge a bit more, but not much. I'm not on a diet, I changed my way of eating forever and I don't want to ever go back to my old eating habbits.
