I'm going to a birthday party tomorrow and i was wondering if it's not good ot eat pizza and cake during birthdays and holidays. Now, most people would say no but the thing is that i've got a b-day party tomorrow AND another one next week. I know most people would say only eat it at one of those but isn't like rude to not accept the food. And besides, thats the only food there. I'm going to eat the cake tomorrow but I was just wondering if i should feel guilty about eating it ? Any suggestions for b-days and sleepovers ? What do you do ?
I know a man that is nearly 100 years old, in great shape, and in wonderful health. He eats very healthily outside of holidays and birthdays, at which he will eat a small portion of each goodie he desires. The key is moderation. One piece of cake along with a couple of slices of pizza each week won't kill you, make you into a huge pile of blubber, or cause you to drop dead. YOU SHOULD NOT FEEL GUILTY ABOUT IT. If you're going to splurge, you should enjoy it. It's rather silly to do it otherwise. There's no need to worry so much, just have a nice time with your friends and get back to your normal routine the next day.
Oh, and to answer your other question, it is considered rude to not accept the food. Plus, it may make the people there suspect an ED.
Hope that helped!
ok maybe just ask for smaller peice like dont feel guilty cheat days are ok some days just dont overdo them
you should never feel guilty for alloweing yourself to have a treat. that's why it's a treat! it's supposed to be a good experience. Eat a lower calorie breakfast and lunch, and if you go over by having a slice of cake and pizza, then so be it.
like canada leaf said.. don't give yourself free reign to eat everything that looks appealing to you, but plan to have a small portion ahead of time.
Yes, i think it's rude when people come to birthday parties and bring their diets along. (not eating after 7, etc.) It makes other people uncomfortable!
i PERSONALLY wouldn't.. it could get you off track and you might go to thinking that consistently having these treats is a good thing until you're just eating it all the time. i don't know how much self control you have, so obviously i can't say.
TECHNICALLY one day can't do anything (as in a pound) unless you eat a 3500 calorie surplus, but i wouldn't do it even one day just in case. i don't think it's rude at all to not accept disgusting junk. just tell them no thanks and that you're trying to watch what you eat. that's what i've been doing for the past year and it's been going well.
but a diet is nothing to be ashamed of. it personally makes me feel good when i deny the food and it makes me feel superior. feels great.
