I took a 1 week break from working out. it was TTOM and the pilates class I took the saturday before, kicked my ass. This was really an intense class and I don't know if I want to try it again. I prefer the machines instead but maybe I will try it one more time.
So I ate as best as I could. Know that I didn't go over my calories even though some nights were not the healthiest choices. I acutally went to meet friends at a bar and had a drink and 1/2 a beer. My weight still didn't change.
I'm still at the same weight when I started. I know that I have water weight right now that will shed in the next week so I am not worried about it. I'm just so annoyed that I workout and nothing. Take a break and eat whatever and still nothing. It's so annoying. I see changes but no #'s going down. I'm still in the WTF mode.
I guess with my new calorie intakes, I will see how things go for the next week or 2. if nothing I swear I am stopping this nonsense and just doing my own thing without counting.
I bought I over the counter pill called "natural burner". I am hoping this will help. I am skeptical with weightloss pills since I have high anxiety. I wish I could get over that and us xenadrin again. I lost 40 lbs with that. That was when i was younger. I am just freaked out that if I take something along those lines that I will drop like a fly in the middle of a workout.
I just want to see the #'s go down. By now I should have at least lost 5-10 lbs not just 3. That is just lame to me and I feel that I am not pushing myself hard enough even though I went to the gym everyday and ate really healthy.
As I said, if no change in the next 2 weeks, I am just done counting calories for good and will just starting running a muck on the treadmill. Last time I was on the treamill, I was up to running a mile in less than 10 minutes. I would run a lap then walk a lap, etc but my walking speed was very brisk. My goal this week is to get back to that on thursday and increase my running increments by 1/8 of a mile each time and decrease my walking increments by 1/8 of a mile. In 3 weeks I want to be able to run a mile to a mile and half straight and increase every weekd byt 1/4 of a mile until I can easily run 3 miles in 20 -30 minutes if not more.
If running is what you want to do there is a great thread about the couch to 5k in the group called want to lose 51-100 lbs. The program is 8 weeks long and by the last week you are running 3 miles strait. It doesn't start out very hard and gives you a reasonable goal to obtain.
If you are really concerned about the numbers maybe not weigh yourself. Especially if you know you are eating and exercizing right. I only weigh myself 1 time per week. That way when I do I can actually see a change. Granted sometimes it is only like 1.2 lbs at least it is something. All those 1 lb weight losses will add up to a lot over time.
I am not an expert, just someone who feels your pain sometimes. Keep up with it and you will see results. BTW I plan on starting the couch to 5 k tomorrow. If you want a buddy to do it with we can do it together.![]()
would love to be a buddy of yours. I read the couch to 5K program and what I am doing is quite similar but just longer running sprints abd walks. I used to run a lot in highschool and about 5 years ago and woud like to get back to that.
Thanks for replying. I am annoyed that in 5 weeks I have only lost 4 lbs and fluctuate between 2lbs. Kinda sucky but i see a difference in my clothes and toning up in my arms legs and butt.

ANNABECKS26, If you can actually see a difference with a 4 lbs loss then please keep doing what you are doing, it's working. You are losing fat but gaining muscle! I'm sure you've heard that muscle weighs more than fat. That's why many people on here recommend taking measurements instead of judging by the scale alone. You're doing great, keep up the good work!
