i was wondering...i dont know if you guys do it but sometimes i just take bites. like if my mom has a bagel and she has one little bite left, i take it. or if theres some left over ground beef in the pan after dinner i might grab a little bit. just a little, nothing big. but i realized my little 'bites' might add up (calorie-wise). i just have no idea how to do it.

I'm notorious for this! I don't dread over it, I merely round up to the nearest hundred or the following hundred if it's too close at the end of the day. Remember, the numbers on here are not exact!
It depends on what's in the bite...a bite of cheesecake will have far more calories than a bite of broccoli.

I don't bother counting samples like that since I rarely have them.
I try to count all of my bites... because i'm a grazer.... a picker!

add it as an oz. or as 1 carrot or whatever.

and actually this site has helped me eliminate (most of) them cause i feel like a cheater if i don't count them :)
What I've been trying to do for a long time (even when I wasn't dieting to a large degree) is to have a zero tolerance policy for this kind of thing.  Samples in supermarkets shoved in my face - no thanks, first slice of meat or cheese at the deli - nope...   Same thing at home.  I find that for me, breaking the habit altogether is what works best.  Otherwise it's too easy to consume a decent amount of extra calories without even realizing it.  It's sorta like a Just say no thing.  lol
I'm a notorious taster too.  What I started doing is having my salad while cooking.  Helps with the picking and i'm more full when the meal is done.
I'm a Tastefully Simple consultant.  ALL WE DO IS SAMPLE!!!!!

I've learned that self control is a good idea... and that Garlic Garlic and Onion Onion are sodium free.  LOL
