Is it real bad if you eat like 2000 calories one day and like 200 the next? Beacause that's how I eat unintentionally. My friend told me that really **** up your digestive track and makes you gain weight? So what are the worst things that can happen?

It's not good.  With the example that you gave you'd average 1100 calories per day which is below the minimum of what you need (1200F/1500M +300teens +%exercise to lose +variable amount for height and weight).  Eating to such extremes can lead to binging as your body demands nutrition and calories.  Most bodies seem to function best with regular fuel.  Intermittent eating habits can lead to high and low blood sugars, lack of energy, lethargy among other issues.

well people would be silly if they say it is.

the '200cal' day would leave you feeling deprived as the 2000 would leave you feeling full. if you have a binge day dont dwell in it, move on and eat a balanced, whole, healthy diet.

it really its good for your body if you play with it like that.

was the following 200cal day out of guilt of the 2000cal day??

if you eat more than intended can be because you feel deprived, tempted or depressed (among other reasons i assume).

1. remove temptation and sick to a healthy diet that suits you

2. cheer yourself up :) see a phycologist and/or take anti-depressant if there is a problem

3. don't feel deprived, have ALL foods in moderation. eat every 4 hours if you want - to help yourself not feel hungry.

all in all have a healthy relationship with food :P

simply not eating is not the way to make up for over-eating or to loose weight.

if this is just a general question i may have gone overboard and will return to my simple answer of - no!

otherwise if its more than that then i do think you know if you have an issue or not, express it to someone close or a doctor, especially if this is a reaccuring thing for you

It may be ok to fluctuate in your calorie intake but not that much. 200 in an entire day?? No, don't do that. Don't get less than 1,200 in a day.

If this is something that is normal for you to do, I would think about getting help from a nutritionist or doctor about meal planning so that you are not abusing your body in this way.  Averaged out 1100 calories/day is not enough.  That combined with your goal of being underweight at 110lbs, for someone that's 5'6" that is a BMI of just over 17, not cool. Even at your current posted weight of 120, you are considered underweight, so you shouldn't be trying to lose.

It sounds to me like you have or are developing an eating disorder, and you should seek help before it gets out of hand.

Best of luck.

How can I make walking fun?

You have to find a way to make exercise fun or else you won't do it. If you walk indoors on a treadmill, I recommend moving outdoors into the fresh air... Read more
