Woooohoooo!!  I'm so ready to do this.

Hi Everyone!

Thought we could start out with introductions.  Please share whatever personal details you'd like to!

I'm Angie.  I'm 41 years old, 5'4" and have been using CC since May 09.  Starting weight was 205 lbs and am currently down to 178 lbs.  I love groups and challenges and use them often to help me keep on track.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!!

Hello everyone I am Marge (maggiejo999).  Have been on CC since July '09.  Looking forward to this challange.  Really need something to get me more motivated.

Water, water everywhere and drinking every bit. Wink

GO GREEN

Go Green!

Hi Angie ... and everyone else on Team Green!

I am Gwen.  I'm 38 years old, 4'11.5" and have been using CC since November 08.  When I started CC I weighed in at 171 lbs and got all the way down to 139.5 lbs before I stopped counting calories when I left for vacation in March.  Once home, I did not get right back on the program because summer had hit and I was literally gone all summer either camping or hiking or off in the great outdoors somewhere ... making logging calories, etc. a little difficult.  Unfortunately, this resulted in me gaining back 13 lbs in 5 months.  What an eye opener!

I just came back to CC a week ago and I am trying to get back on track.  I have done a BLC challenge in the past and I know for me that it works because I have to be held accountable to the team -- not just myself.  I am VERY excited about this challenge and VERY motivated to get back on the program!

Looking forward to being a big loser with all my teammates!  Go Green!

First of all: Green is my favorite colour so yay!

Second of all: Hi Angie Marge and Gwen! :)

I'm Amelia, 18 years old and from Canada. I'm 5'8.5" and currently weighing about 225. My whole life I've been a "big girl" I can remember always putting myself on strict diets and exercise programs, even as young as 6-7 years old. Of course, I never knew the proper way to healthily diet back then, so my ideas were far too crazy and I'd never last over 2 days.

Honestly I've never been on a successful diet. I know how to diet, I've  learned a lot about how your body digests, how to exercise properly, and such. BUT I'll do well the first two weeks, then I'll cut myself a little slack on the third, and a little more on the fourth... until I've gained back everything (and then some!) But here's to changing that, and become the healthy person I've always wanted to be! This will be my first time in a Biggest Loser Challenge and I'm really looking forward to getting to know everyone and staying motivated! GO GREEN!

sorry, I do tend to ramble. :)

Wow, it;s amazing how the enthusiam goes slack on the week-ends and this is when we need it most.  At least I do.  Anyway, still drinking that water and really trying to stay on track.

Hope everyone is doing well.  Good luck.

Hello everyone!

My name is Sarah I am also from Canada! (BC), I moved out here 6 years ago from England. I'm 5' 7" and around 160lbs. From November last year through til March this year my weight loss was going great... I went from 167lbs down to 147lbs -- 20 LBS!!! .... however I plateaud around April and since then have been on holiday etc and fallen off the bandwagon so to speak. I really don't want to gain back all that I lost, and ultimately am aiming for around 135lbs!

I exercise around 4 or 5 times a week already, and am confident that my DIET is what is sabotaging me!!!! I love eating !!!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amelia--Green is my favorite color, too!  I have done only one other BLC challenge and I was assigned to TEAM GREEN and we WON!  I think it is a good omen!  I think you will like the BLC challenge ... I know I loved the last one I did because I had to be accountable to other members of my team and not just myself.  You can do this -- here you come healthy girl!!!

Maggie--I am right there with you ... I NEED the most support on the weekends, too!  I feel like a did a good job this weekend (although it is not technically over) and I am attributing my better choice making to this challenge.  I just kept thinking, "If I mess up, I will let down TEAM GREEN!"  I think it worked well for me.  Let's see how next week goes because I will be away on business ... and that is ALWAYS dangerous!  I will still weigh in but I am a little concerned about being diligent around logging calories and how I will keep up my rigorous workouts!  Keep your fingers crossed for me -- I leave on Thursday and get back the following Wednesday evening ... so I won't miss weigh in but ... here's to hoping it will be a good weigh in!

Sarah-- I have been off the wagon since about March ... good for you for not gaining the weight back.  I gained back 13 lbs ... it is so frustrating that I have to work off the same 13lbs I have already lost!  I, too, love food!  I really need to work on changing my relationship with food ... and seeing it as a necessity to live -- rather than a preferred social activity.  It will come ... we CAN do this!!!

Hope everyone is doing well on the weight loss and water challenge!  I have a great feeling about TEAM GREEN!

Hey All!

Had a great time last night at our end of season yard party.  Durn near 125 people came and it was a blast!  Nice thing about it is that I cooked so much all week that I didn't feel like eating yesterday.  I had more than my share of beer though!

With the party over and my 3rd quarter tax estimates wrapped up I'm ready to dedicate some serious time to exercise!  I'd really like to drop some more pounds before the snow flies!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic week and doing well with the water challenge.  The more we drink, the higher our points!  So keep track and keep it up!  I'm up to 507 oz for the week with one more day to count.  (I weigh on Tuesday)  Not too sure how the weigh in will go . . . hoping the retention from all the beef drops off by then. :P

Green Team is gonna kick butt!

:)

Hi everyone! I am excited about this Biggest Loser competition. My blue team won the Biggest Loser 12 challenge! I know that we can do just as good!

I am 30 years old, 5'7", and 202 pounds. I started CC in June 2009 weighing 222. I have always been overweight and always worn plus-size clothing! I want to be smaller and healthier! I already feel so much better after having this first 20 pounds off!

I am a Special Education teacher at an elementary school and love my job! I have one year old twins. They are very active now and are so amazing. I am incredibly blessed.

GO GREEN! WOO-HOO!

Angie--WOW!   You are doing such a great job with your water drinking!  I think I am up to 422 or something like that ... the number is recorded in my journal on my profile.  I thought I was doing pretty good ... but you are ROCKIN' it!  Sounds like you had a good end of the season party without feeling like you had to deprive yourself!  I will get there one of these days ... I really have to work on changing my relationship with food ... it MUST change in order for me to get to (and maintain a healthy weight).  I always love to hear about others who feel they had a successful day of socializing and eating.  One day, I will, too!

ilovemytwins--Congratulations on losing 20 lbs!  That is such a weight loss milestone!  I remember when I lost 20lbs ... I totally rewarded myself with personal training sessions.  I hope you rewarded yourself with something ... even if it was just a nice hot soak in the tub (which I was always grateful for when I had ONE almost toddler roaming around -- much less two)!  I KNOW you will reach your goal of being smaller AND healthier!  You can do this ... we ALL can do this!!

Happy Monday, TEAM GREEN!  Hope you are all well!!

***EDIT***

I am having a horrible dieting day!  I am still managing to get all my water in (in fact I am doing excellent at that) but I am making poor food choices and have not been able to get motivated to exercise.  By the end of the day I will probably have gone over my calories and my sodium intake is off the charts today ... weigh in is tomorrow and I am seriously stressing.  It has just been a VERY stressful day today!

Wow, where are our team mates?  Hopefully we will have a good response tomorrow - Thursday for the weigh-in and points.  I'm on Tuesday schedule and feel pretty good about things but time will tell.

I do cardio everyday but I am not certain I can get close in points but will keep on "pantin".  Good luck everyone.

Yup, it's a bummer when people drop off . . . I actually did that with BLC12 because it was so frustrating not to see updates.  Was really great that Nikki picked up the ball and ran with it.  This time I'm sticking it out til the end!

Had a good day today.  Got on the bike and did an 8 mile track, stayed in my calories all day and had a nice long walk with the dog tonight.  The BLC tv show starts tomorrow night and I'm hoping to watch that and be inspired!  I'm a Tuesday weigher too so I'm hoping that watching that will give me the motivation I need to get through the week.

Looks like my water will end up at 591.5 ounces for the week.  I'll try for another bottle tonight but I'm doubting it. LOL  I think at some point it becomes too much of a good thing. (about the same time you're getting up 3 times a night! :P)

Good luck to everyone on the weigh ins this week!

Angie :)

Ugh!  I just saw the challenge for next week is cardio.  I HATE cardio!  Blah!

However, I will commit to one hour per day for the entire week.  Pick me up Green Team . . . let's hear your plans!

Oh, Angie, for not liking cardio that is a huge commitment!  I do an hour of Cardio 5 times a week and one of those days I take a class so I do three hours of cardio and that is a bit much and I LOVE cardio.

Next week I am away on business and I am not sure what I will have at my disposal for equipment and I certainly won't be able to attend my Zumba class.  Is walking considered cardio? I can walk anywhere ... as long as it is safe -- not sure if the place I am staying will have access to gym equipment or not?  ACK!  I will have to get back to you on what my commitment will be for next week.  I wish these challenges were flipped cardio this week and water next week!  Water is easy to do ANYWHERE!  ARGH

Glad you did well today, Angie!  I am jealous ... I have had a rough, rough day!

~Gwen

Hi I am Christina and have a one year old daughter (will be on the 30th).  Did well with the water this week earned us 9.60 points.

Plan on going to the gym everyday and usually get in at least 1 hour of cardio so I can commit to that much.

Very excited to be on the GREEN TEAM and let's make this work for us.

Good LuckLaughing

Hello people! Is it best to weigh in and do points on thursday? I feel like I haven't exercised as much as I should, but I feel like I've done well with my eating habits, and hopefully am getting back on track!!

I'm kind of glad that next weeks challenge is cardio, because it will give me extra motivation and will hopefully help our team! I always do either eliptical or go for a jog, I find good motivation for the eliptical is to plug in a distance rather than a time, for example - km's that way you know "if i go faster and work harder, ill be done sooner".

This is the first time Ive done a Biggest Loser challenge, I'm really looking forward to the results it could bring!!

Good luck y'aalllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sez_babe00

Just went in and looked and you weighed in last Tuesday so that means you need to weigh in again today.  From what I read on the rules you can only go on each weigh in and challenge for 7 days.

Thanks very much maggiejo999!! I'll get my butt on those scales tonight!!

Hi guys!  Wow, I missed all this great conversation.  But now that I've finally found my way in to the green team forum I want to say HI and I'm so glad to be in such a motivated group.

I'm Michelle and I'm 34 years old, 5'2.5" and I weigh 183 pounds.  I just found CC a couple weeks ago and started right away even though I knew my birthday was coming up and there would be a LOT of challenges.  Anyway, this is the main reason I didn't lose weight last week, but if it weren't for CC and the water challenge I definitely would have gained normally.  This week I'm looking for a big loss!

I look forward to working together to become a team of losers!! Laughing

Speaking of which - anyone catch the season premier of the Biggest Loser last night?

Hey Gwen - walking is DEFINITELY cardio.  Anything that raises your heart rate for a period of time.  Personally that's one of my favourites!

Michelle: Yeah I saw Biggest Loser last night... I love the show although I'm not sure who I'll be rooting for just yet! And good job on starting CC even though your BDAY was coming up.. I'm realising that you have to try and find a balance between fitness and everyday life, and that it's best to find a lifestyle that you can maintain no matter what happens in your life (this is something I've really struggled with...going exercise crazy for a few months, and as soon as my personal cirumstances change (ie my love life)... I fall off the wagon).

Christina, Angie and Gwen it looks like you are setting a great precedent for the group with your cardio goals!! I will follow suit and commit to 1 HOUR everyday this week! I'm planning on mixing between jogging, the eliptical and possibly the bike. Kind of disappointed at my weight loss last week, but I know my body usually take around 2 weeks to react to whatever change I have made, so fingers crossed!!
