Hi Team Orange members!

Let's use this spot to introduce ourselves, motivate and encourage each other!

I'm a 37 y/o mom of two, ages 8 and 5.  I'm married to my adoring husband of 13 years.  I've only been on CC for about a month now.  My short-term GW is 155 by 4th of July.  I would LOVE to make some friends and help each other stay motivated to lose, lose, lose!!!

Hi, I'm 55. I've been married to Gene (gdumm of the green team) for five years, during which I've gained about 20 lbs. for various reasons. My new goal in life is to beat the green team, making dummie a loser, lol.  Unfortunately, my entry weight seems to be a bit low. I weighed two pounds more this morning. Gene, on the other hand, seems to have lost a gallon of water overnight. Sigh. My story, and I'm sticking to it, is that my one day at the gym netted me two pounds of muscle. Go orange!

Buggyhair checking in. Single, 49, and been at CC since May 23 (at a weight of 181.6). Lets get rid of some extra pounds.

ji, i'm kathy- mom of 3 ages 14, 10 and 6.  Work as an RN (nights- part of the weight problem) -in this to lose at least another 10 lbs by end of Feb- that way i can say i lost 65 lbs this past year, and working on the next 65Smile- goooooo orange!

Hey all, I am KJ.

I am 26, 5'3, and wanting to be lighter!!!  I have already lost 28 pounds and I am hoping to lose another 50 or so.

I work a really chaotic job, but have been making working out a priority.

I play Roller Derby, so I know that losing weight and getting in shape will really help me be a better player.

I'm pumped for another Biggest Loser challenge as I really get motivated (especially when watching the show on TV, I cant wait for the new season to start next week!!!)

I work out with a trainer 2 times a week, I play Derby 3 times a week, and then I try to do cardio 5 times a week (in the mornings before work). My new Years resolutions were to workout at least 250 times, and for a total of 7500 minutes during the year.  I am so pumped!

If you guys need motivating, or want someone to "work out" with in the mornings, then let me know and we can. We will do this you guys, and we will have the most fun!!

Go Team Orange!!!!!

Hey Team.  I'm Jodi.  A 37 yr old stay-at-home-mom to 3 kids ages 2, 5 & 6.  I've yo-yo'd my entire adult life between 150 and 250.  I lost about 20lbs in 2007 and then I joined CC in March of last year and lost 30 lbs in about 6 months.

I fell off the wagon in the fall after some medical issues and now I've gained about 15lbs.  I'm hoping this challenge will help keep my eye on the prize!

My goal is to hit 199 by my CC 1 year anniversary in March 2009.

Good afternoon. Papa, of the green team, has taken up my personal Green-orange challenge. we're on!

My husband bought a new exercise bike--with fans and all kinds of neat stuff--for $200 at Walmart. I guess vendors are getting antsy for customers, although I hear Walmart's making money.  He set it up in front of our big screen TV, although we have an older one in front of another tv in our exercise room. I'm going to have to name them green bike and orange bike. When I put this final period on, I'm going to try out the new one and not watch football while I ride.

Dummie, dueling bicycles!  You guys are hard core!  You're inspiring me to dust off the treadmill and get moving!

Dummie, (and I mean that in a nice way, had to throw that in since we are going head to head!) I see that I am not the only one inflitrating the "enemy's" thread! Anyway, as long as we are ALL losers, we are all winners!

Other than that BRING IT!

Papa

dummie, Im loving ur posts! Im glad ur on opposite teams, its funnier! lol

BTW- Everyone I am on the orange team too, so need ya all to meep me in line. i think Ive been doing pretty good so far, havent checked the scale yet. I like to check once a week so fingers crossed, Ill see something good.

I am a stay at home mom, just turned 35 yesterday. Have 2 sons ages 8 and 12. Im back here after falling off for a few months, but did good the 1st time around so Im hoping to lose 25 lbs by summer for a start, need to lose about 50 total, ughh! But looking forward to this challenge. Lets beat em!!

Good luck everyone!

Bodies are so weird. I'm still 2 pounds above my original weigh in, and I've been really good. The day of my week 0 weigh in, I must have been dehydrated. LOL, I KNEW I should have cheated! Just joking. good luck this week... Happy birthday to bonbon--hope your next 35 are healthy and fun!

BonBon, from a fellow competitor, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Just remember when you hit 40 you get to start counting backward!

Papa

How's everyone doing this week??  Don't forget weigh-ins start tomorrow!!  I've managed to do at least 30 min of cardio every day since Jan 1.  And I'm finally over the "hump" of feeling like I'm starving on only 1600 cal/day.  Every time I try to cut calories, I go through about 4 days of feeling like I'm hungry all of the time.  Anyone else experience that?

Dummie, I know what you mean about bodies being weird.  I've been trying real hard this week and as of last night it looked like I had actually gained a pound over the last 6 days.  Then I get on the scale today and I'm down a pound and a half from my week 0 weight!  I think I'm going to have to put away my scale and only weigh myself on weigh-in days.  I'm getting too obsessed with the day-to-day weight fluctuations.

Hey Team!

I'm psyched for our weigh in this week.  I know it's just the initial water weight dropping off, but so far i'm down 5lbs!  I'm sure things will slow down quickly.  Also, I had thai basil chicken for lunch today, which although was very "healthy" with lots of veggies and not much chicken...and I only ate about 1/4 of the rice, it's the sodium that will do me in.

Which bring me to agree with marie and dummie, I'm going to do my hardest to only weigh in once a week.  The fluctuations drive me crazy too!

Happy Birthday BonBon, I hope your day was special!

Don't worry DUmmie, we won't hold the phantom gain against you at weigh in Wink

BTW, is anyone planning on watching Dietribe tonight?  Believe it or not I've never seen Biggest Loser, but I hear it's starting up again so I'm going to try to catch it this season.

Good luck with the scales everyone!

Biggest Loser Season 7 ( The new season) starts TOMORROW NIGHT!!!! I am so pumped (can you tell?)

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes, (especially papa from the green side, ur not mad at me for the little sabatoge comment on your thread?? All in good fun!!) I cant beleive this, Im with you Jodyjuniper, I snuck a peak this morning at the scale, and Im down 6.5lbs!! Probably water weight, or beginners luck but how cool is that? So dont worry dummie if you have a bad week, weve got you covered! We will all have weeks like that Im sure, I seem to lose weight in spurts myself. When I did this before, I went 3 weeks without a loss, then bam on the 4th week I would get like a 5 or 6lb loss, sometimes it just takes time to catch up to you I guess.

Ill check in tomorrow with my actual #, then the scale goes up for a week again. Im the same way with the crazy weight fluctuation thing, I used to check alot and could be 3lbs different in each direction at different times of the day, so I put the scale up and just started weighing once a week at the same time, so much less stressful-lol

BonBon, It's like I tell my teammates, I don't look at it as sabotage, I look at it like MOTIVATION! So no bad feeling's. It's like I say if we all lose then we are all winners (i.e. Losers!)

Papa

So true Papa!  Thanks for keeping ALLl of us motivated, both green and orange!

Papa doesn't get mad. How could he? After all I snuck over there and decorated his bike for him.

Thanks! I set the DVR!

Hello Team Orange!!!

I'm a 24 year old nursing student who is trying to live a healthier life! Since the beginning of September I have been counting my calories and to date have lost 28 lbs. At the end of October I was looking for some low calorie recipes and I came upon this wonderful site! I love that there is a place where I can come and talk to others about -no, not dieting- but a lifestyle change! I am really good about keeping track of what I eat but I am awful about getting to the fitness center! The scale has not budged a whole lot since December 10th. I know that if I were to get my behind in the gym this would not be the case! This is where I need your help!!! If I can get excited about it, I know I can do it!

Good luck to everyone!
