Bloated.
I increased my calories and now I feel bloated. I'm forcing myself to eat because I know I need to gain and I need to eat more. I really wanna be healthy. I also have noticed an increase in my abs. My stomach got more muscular.
I was wondering if anyone else when they first started gaining was bloated.
Well, i know how you feel cause i ate more tonight then i really needed to because of the temtation but my problem is im not trying to gain weight !
Oh, I feel your pain, babe. I feel like a freakin' blow up doll. Like all poofy and gross. But it does go away. Also, just repeat to yourself: "I'm not fat, I'm bloated". I stole it from another CC member, I won't take credit. I increased from 1000 calories to 1600 overnight and oh my goodness did I feel like a COW. But you are beatiful and it's all for the better in the ends, I promise.
Good luck! You are gorgeous and you deserve it! :D
Thanks so much. I'll remember that. :D
Bloating happens to E.V.E.R.Y.O.N.E, Felicia. It stinks big time, but at least you're not alone. Ponnee posted about some of the the same issues a little while back, so you might want to check out her thread (http://caloriecount.about.com/forums/post/885 08.html). It has some great tips from lots of people. I second every one of them.:]
The most important thing to note, however, is that IT WILL GO AWAY! Once your body is at a happy (or at least happiER) weight it will start releasing the water retention. Right now it's afraid that you won't be feeding it again, so it's trying to hold on to EVERYTHING that goes into it for as long as possible. Keep eating, drinking, and treating your body well and it will do the same!:]
something that always helps me when i'm bloated
juice a lemon and add it to a 2L water bottle, or a half lemon for a 500ml-1L
even a cup of hot water with some lemon helps
this will make you pee and helps you to not retain water. I always do this during my period. Plus it makes my water taste better
and remember drink enough! your body retains less if give it enough, around 2L a day!
I hate being bloated and I even wouldnt want to go out sometimes if I felt I looked pregnant from being overly bloated.
But what makes me feel better now is that I think "I have never looked at I girl and been like 'wow she is bloated', so I know no one is ever going to notice my bloat."
Oh my goodness, I know how you feel! I haven't even managed to gain weight but I've been managing to get in over 3000 cals by eating as much as possible as often as I can and I have felt like a baloon for weeks! I don't feel fat because I know I don't have an ounce of it on my body, I just feel full all the time, after I eat I look like a stick with a big ball for a stomach. Ugh, i can't wait for this to stop happening, it's VERY uncomfortable. I'm going to check out the other thread for tips, but any on here will be appreciated! I'd also like to try and figure out what foods will cause less bloating and what more I can eat that will be calorie dense but not take up so much space.
I also try and keep in mind that while eating makes me bloated now, in the long run, eating more and more will be the only way to make it stop happening. How ironic! lol. keep up the eating everyone!
Where can I see 1/8th or 1/6th of a pie or angel food cake?
This is the best way to picture a portion of pie or cake: Draw a circle to represent the circumference of the cake or pie (9" pie? 10" cake?... Read more
