Bloating problem - please help

Quote  |  Reply
My stomach is like a balloon. What do I need to do ? help please. I know there has been some similar questions before but I just can't find them.

I just an expensive product from Invite Health that helps with digestive issues. It helps digest broccocli ( which I can't get enough of) and other foods...

But I would like to hear from others here who tried something with good results.

My problem is I eat too much fiber (40- 50 g a day).

I've found that consuming live acidophilus helps me quite a bit. I mainly get the acidophilus I eat from yogurt. If you buy a supplement instead, I think it's best to get one that's been refrigerated, as refrigeration helps to insure you're getting live cultures.

if you do the acidophilus make sure you take a 1/2 dose the first day.

I took a large dose (it was a recommended dose by a doctor) and was very very sick for a couple of days (puking my guts out - about 6 times in one evening)

but other than that it's good stuff
Kylam and rufftumbler :

Thanks for your replies. Do you know where can I find that? can I just go to a drug store? Invite sells a bottle for $35. I am not sure if it is the same thing.
Ok u don't need a pill to reduce bloating..i figured out simply the easy way. I have bloating on and off..and I've noticed frequently that people on these forums bring up bloating...It's probably because of the sodium intake of low cal products like diet drinks and even lean cuisines..in order to rid these..u must decrease the intakes of these products..cook more, maybe eat smaller portions of them...if giving up lean cuisines or other products like these is too hard Atleast Try replacing diet beverages with jus plain water u'd be shocked with the results..it would prolly even show on the scale after the first week of adding 8 glasses of water a day into ur system..it helps flush out the system and no sodium!! Lastly, try some green tea or green tea extract...all natural..no sideeffects...helps with the bowel movements if that might b the problem...

hope i could b of help!

Hi - I have sever bloating problems if I have a day of eating incorrectly, it could be too many carbs, too much fibre or in my case, grains and red meat will do it as well.  First thing you need to do is balance out your diet - but you know that.....

If I muck up, I find that peppermint tea (good quality organic peppermint tea) is a great soother.  It's not an immediate fix, it always takes a few hours to settle but sipping at the tea helps me stay hydrated and soothes the discomfort.  Also - if you need to release gas, do so.  Holding it will only make things worse.

Good luck
I wonder, could it be a reaction to something you are eating - like wheat or gluten? This is quite common. I have given up wheat/gluten and can't believe the difference - amazing. Maybe you could try eliminating wheat/gluten from your diet and see if you find a difference. I don't think fizzy drinks are good for this either. Hope you manage to sort it out. :-)
