bloating & tummy troubles??

Quote  |  Reply

Hi all, I am continuing on with my eating and have basically cut out all exercise…. I am determined to keep this going to get to recovery asap but am finding that I am getting tummy pains after each meal I eat – no matter how big or what the content of the meal is – any explanation? Just my tummy getting used to food again?

Also – I am getting quite bloated and I know this is normal and part of the process and I rely on peppermint tea to help this but if anyone has any other NATURAL recommendations to ease very full and bloaty tummy’s please let me know… in the meantime I will stick with loose fitting clothing… :)

this is normal i know its not nice but it will get easyier as your body gets used to eating and you restore weight . i had this problem something that helped me was to drink water with my meals , i also cut out some of the veggies as i think this wasnt helping , i also started to pay more attention to my eating im not suggesting you are , but i ate my food fast with little attention partly hunger partly fear . peppermint oil is food i had the tea which helped . i was also prescribed gaviscon which helped. if you are unduly concerned i would see a doctor , it was found i had a hiatus hernia which wasnt helping . hope that helps sorry i cant give more advice h x

It took my body a few weeks to get used to food, then the stomach pains went away.

As per the bloating, have you tried a hot water bottle/heating pack? Also, there are some yoga poses that I found helped.(Maybe google "yoga for digestion")

thanks guys for the helpful tips and hints. I hope it does only take a little while for this to go away! Just a reason to not relapse I guess as I there are aspects of recovery I don't want to go through again...
