Personally, I'm naturally a blond, but I dye my hair dark. I think brunettes are much sexier. Plus it looks good on me :)
Really? Do you live in the US? That is soooooo cool! I've never met a blonde isn't all stuck up about being blonde

xoxoxoxoxo Alex*
Yeah, I live in the US. I think there is a certain very high profile percentage of the population that acts the way you are describing, and I think it's sad that they are getting all the attention, but I think generally people don't really care what color your hair is...maybe I'm being too optimistic about my own society, but that's what I think.

:)
Well every1 is entitled to opinion! lol.... It's not like i have anything against blondes or anything but people have been trying to get me to dye me hair blonder and some people even make me wunt 2 beleive my hair is blonde........but it's just light brown........Maybe where you live people care less about wut hair color you have.... hahah

xoxoxo

Interesting question, and sounds a bit childish, actually...I don't know how old you are, but as a 30-ish professional in the working field AND being a blonde female, there is a discrimination against us in the workforce.  We are still looked upon as being dumb and brainless.  So, I don't know where you get the idea that you're looked down upon if you're not blonde.  Ask many blonde professionals and you'll find that they have to work like h**l to prove they aren't stupid.  That's my opinion.  It's people like the blonde models in this world that act stupid that give us that stereotype.
I absolutely agree with neeners.  I also work in a very professional environment and the LAST thing I would want to do it go blond.  In fact, when we have salespeople come in, its usually a smart man and a ditzy blond.  I guess the blond is there to impress the men.  I'm not saying all blonds are ditzy (far from it).  But some seem to take full advantage of the stereotype.  I love being brunette and  it's an advantage to me in the work place.  I'm sorry blondes, like neeners, have to work so hard to prove themselves.
neeners and aclayton, if that's the case about the work environment being biased about blondes, and society as a whole, then why, oh, why do so many women dye their hair blonde (especially when it's obvious that they have dark roots, dark skin, eyebrows, etc.)??    (I've never dyed my hair, nor highlighted, so not sure why anyone would want to dye hair except maybe to hide gray with their natural color)
blame jessica simpson! yes! finally got to say that.  according to her creepy dad, she's very smart, but she sure doesn't present herself that way (i think, personally) our office manager (actually the last two) have been very strong intelligent blondes that keep everything running right. and i work with two brunettes that are just as smart. i just feel a little lucky that i don't have to be part of the blond/brunette war. but i honestly am a red-headed stepchild. :)
I color my hair.  I admit it.  However, I definitely stick with what looks natural on me.  Dark, dark brown - mostly I do it to hide the grey, and to add some shine.

However, my daughter is blonde (see my pictures if you don't believe me) and hubby isn't blonde - so I get a lot of jokes about how she's not really mine...
LOL this is a funny thread...

Here's my 2 cents: I don't feel like the world is being taken over by blondes, but I do feel like I'm a minority with my dark brown eyes! It seems like everyone has blue or green eyes, even a lot of my family, which is odd because they're all Greek, and known to be dark-haired and dark-skinned.

I've dyed my hair black, burgundy/red, light brown with blonde streaks, and I've discovered that redheads have the most fun! (Dark red). Who knew?
Diana - did anyone ever tell you that you look like Sandra Bullock?
Hahahahahah yes I get that A LOT (like a couple times a week). I take it as a compliment, so thanks! :)
"...I've discovered that redheads have the most fun!"

Thinking back, I've probably dated about the same number of blondes as brunettes, and I've never had much of a preference.  However, I think every guy has a bit of weak spot for redheads.
Haha my explanation for it is that they're more of a rarity.
Chris you are my kind of man!!!!!  Thank you for taking up for us redheads!

Im a natural redhead!!!!  REDHEADS RULE!!!

:)
I'm naturally blonde, but I dye my hair darker because I feel like people really do not take me seriously, especially when I try to explain to people my career objective. Ive dyed my hair redish before, and I have to admit I way perfer how I looked and so did everyone else!

I think redheads are way sexier and sophiscated looking than blondes. But hey, it doesn't matter the colour of your hair, we're all beautiful anyways! My favorite quote is "Sexiness is not what you reveal, but how you feel" and I think that goes for everything! If you think you look hot, and walk/talk/act with confidence, the people around you will think you're hot too!
babyd, wow, you really do look like Sandra Bullock!

Since I used to be a hairstylist I have had my hair every color of the rainbow and I have to say that I definately get more attention from the opposite sex when I am blonde.
I'm a brunette and I've never colored my hair. I love my hair color. I know most people seem to think brown is boring but mine isn't. I think no matter what hair color you are or choose to be you look your best when you feel your best. If you are feeling beautiful and let it show then people do take notice!
I'm a natural brunette who prefers dark hair, but recently went blonde - I figured I wasn't getting any younger, why not experiment? Now, my hair has been black, blonde, red and brown, so I feel like I have a little experience with it all.

Being blonde, I def. got more attention. But, most of it was unwelcome and uncomfortable. I've been in a lot of night clubs in my life, but I never got approached like I did as a blonde. And "I like your hair" was a conversation opener, a lot.

Sometimes, I think blonde attention is just because the hair is lighter and shows up better, and men are drawn, slack-jawed, like moths to a flame. Come on, guys! Can't you see it's fake and it's fried? I looked so much better as a brunette!

2 months later, I switched to red (my roots were horrible by 2 weeks and I could't deal with the constant upkeep). Red has been fun - friends and coworkers have told me it's my best hair yet (LOL - my cut, color and length change a lot).

I don't feel looked-down on because I'm not a blonde, but I do feel less noticed. But that's not always bad, kwim? Still, I sometimes get annoyed when a celebrity goes blone, because usually, they were more attractive as a brunette.

As for me, I'll take a young Mel Gibson over Brad Pitt any day of the week!

Brunette here, or maybe I should say grey that has been colored to resemble my old color. Tried auburn, loved it, got lots of compliments, but too much upkeep.

Personally I never notice peoples hair color.  I look directly into their eyes, listen to their stories, and look deep into their hearts to get to know who they are inside.
