Hey Blue Team!
I know you're all as excited as I am to get started, so I figured we'd begin by introducing ourselves - names, goals, hobbies, whatever you like!
Me first: I'm Ashley, I'm 20 years old and extremely excitable as I'm sure you'll all get to know. I don't really have a goal weight; I plan on figuring it out when I get to a place where I feel most comfortable. If you want an extremely longwinded explanation of this, you can find it in my bio :P
So I guess you could say that right now my goal is to have heaps of fun with this challenge, and hopefully help you guys have fun too!
This is my first Biggest Loser Challenge, but I've looked through some of the old threads so I'm pretty sure I've got a handle on how things go. If you guys like the idea, I was thinking that we could have a little "mini challenge" within our team. I'm also participating in the Spring-Summer Slimdown Challenge (in the Weight Loss forum, if you've never come across it), and every week we have a little nutrition or exercise goal (e.g. meet your calorie deficit every day, or meet your calcium requirements every day). Let me know what you guys think!
Feel free to use this thread for... well, pretty much anything. Talk about how you feel about the challenge, get some extra motivation when you need it, and help to motivate others. Most importantly, have fun - I honestly believe that's the BEST way to stay on track.

Hi!! My Name is Christina, I am 22 years old, 5'4" and an unhappy 202.5 pounds......but ive lost 2.5 pounds since the 7th when i signed up for this challenge!! I am married.....I have a beautiful 2 year old daughter named Cameron Grace....and a beautiful 5 year old step daughter named Christian Paige!! I am looking to lose a total of 70 pounds but i am trying for 24 for this challenge...3 pounds a week! I love photography....and eating...lol, thats how i got to 205 pounds. I am tired of being the 'fat girl' ! I mean, i am bigger now than i was 3 months after having my daughter. I was 173 when she was 3 months old!! Thats horrible!!! But I am ready to change that....Its taken me 2 years to get good and ready to do it, but im doing it now!! I am so excited to get to know everyone on the team!!

Anyways, my name is Yvonne as you can see.... Well I can't be the biggest loser because I don't have that much to lose, but since the Week 0 I've lost 2 Ibs...which is not bad :)
So, I'm 17 years old and I'm looking to lose 36 pounds (was 42 when I started, April 20th) by November. Just to get rid of first 20 and than I'll go with ease for the rest.

My name is Emily. I'm 25 years old 5'6" and weigh in at 225 pounds. My start weight was 264 pounds, so I'm happy with my loss so far, and plan on to continue until I get down to around 150! It'll take time, but I'm ready for it. I'm a band director and have a busy schedule, which I think is how I allowed my self to get so heavy, but now I'm taking charge of my body and health again.
Hobbies would be music, movies and books!

My name is Jenna, I am 24, 5.6 and 241 bloody pounds! I am down from 260 and am wanting to eventually get down to 160 but my main motivation right now is my sisters wedding in Belize next year. I am a maid of honour and as such am going to have to wear a dress in front of a lot of people! yikessss!
This is my second challenge and I had a lot of success with the last one but my team was not very good at using our personal site to motivate one another so that is something I hope to be better at for this challenge.
I am usually online quite a bit as I am a student in advanced human resources so I will probably be checking in here daily, and leaving oodles of silly comments.

Woohoo, hi Yvonne, Emily and Jenna! Loving our team so far.
Not sure if I've already mentioned it or not, but I'm from Australia. So although I'm also online quite a bit because of (sigh...) study, there are timezone issues which mean I can't always reply straight away. I do my best though!
As of today, I weigh 180 pounds, down from an all-time high of 200 in January. I lost most of that pretty slowly because I didn't really have a plan or a goal. I started by reducing my chocolate habit to once a week, and when that made me feel a whole lot healthier and awesome, I started making a whole bunch of other little changes. About a month ago I realised that those little things had eventually added up into a pretty dramatic lifestyle change... and decided I may as well go for gold. So here I am at CC :D
For some unknown reason I'm actually down about 4 pounds from the week 0 weigh-in, but I expect that over the next couple of days I'll start retaining a whole lot of water (you know what I mean...), so we'll see how we go!

Hi! My name is Carly and I think I'm the oldest here so far...
I'm really feeling my age right now cause I turn the big 3 - 0 in a few months. So I told everyone that I am no longer celebrating birthdays, but will be celebrating the anniversary of my 29th birthday... ![]()
I'm the mother of 6 year old Hunter and 3 year old Lucas and feel as though I'm always running around! It's so hard to eat healthy when you don't take alot of time out for you and making sure you are being healthy! I'm also married to my best friend...we've been together for almost 9 years!
About 2 years ago I weighted 205 and finally got sick of me and of feeling fat and yucky so I started working out and did weight watchers and got down to 164 - and there I stayed for the next year and a half. I've gained and lost the same 10-15 lbs so many times it's driving me crazy! I finally got below the 160 mark with the help of CC and am so proud of myself and I'm hoping my competitive nature will come out here and I'll lose more for me but for you all as well! I'm really trying to get and be healthy! My mini goal is 150 which will finally give me a BMI in the healthy range but ultimately I'm striving for 132 and I'll see how I feel when I get there!
I love photography and taking pictures of my family and nature. I love scrapbooking, music and reading when I can!
I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here and making some new friends!

So, I usually try to stay around 100 calories below my limit just to be safe and I also walk every day, 1 mile minimum, and I do a workout every other day. Today I went 100 over my calorie limit......i blame it on the evil chocolate lucky charms!!....that and my undying sweet tooth!! Im feeling a little guilty, but i burned an extra 450 calories today since i push mowed the yard.....And Tomorrow is a new day!!

Hi Smurfs! thats cute! Just checking in to say hi to my team! Its getting nice out so lets set out to win this and look good at the end! I love these challenges and meeting others with the same goals and problems-lol. Looks like so far I am the oldest here, 35. Im married with 2 sons ages 12 and 9 and Im from Detroit Mich. I did the Bl challenge #9 and managed to lose 11lbs but then I slacked off on Bl#10 and didnt join, so here I am at my exact same ending weight off that challenge :(. 175. I would love to get down to 165 by the end of this one, and I got a treadmill today! yay! Im excited to start using it Monday when the kids are at school (otherwise they heckle me-haha lil jerks!) Im shooting for 1500 cals a day but have been ending up at 1700, so Im gonna work on taking that down this week too. Im a bigtime boredome eater, like today I was gonna go over my friends and hang out but then she wasnt home so what did I do? came home and a couple cookies(thats what threw me over my limit) So im gonna try to stay busy and lose some of this weight. Happy Mothers day to all the moms! We can do this! Food will not beat us!! Go blue!

I'm from Europe so I'm in a totally different timezone too....
And just to say, that I also have 2.8 pounds less since the begginig and thats HUGE minus for my weight. Well...hope my youth is making it so fast!
Does anyone else seem to have a problem with fluctuating weight??? I am so mad at my scale right now!! I have stayed right around my calorie limit and i work out every other day, and walk at least a mile every day and my scale says i have gained 2 pounds in 1 day???? Maybe i shouldnt weigh myself every day!!
I have no idea why, but pasta makes me blow up. A portion (1 cup) of the stuff can make me 2 pounds heavier the next morning. I don't add anything high in sodium, so that's not the issue. But I'm always back to normal the day after, so I don't worry about it too much. Just one of life's little quirks.
If you figure out the triggers for your weight fluctuations it can save you a lot of confusion and frustration. Either you can reduce those foods that cause you to retain, or if you really can't bring yourself to do that (I love pasta waaaay too much), you can be comforted by knowing that it's just temporary water weight and isn't a true gain at all.
Of course, being women, if the trigger is hormonal we really just have to grin and bear it :(

I'm Katy, and this is my 2nd Biggest Loser Challenge.
On January 9th 2009 I woke up and decided that I was done being huge - my heaviest weight was 310 pounds at the beginning of December, 2008. I lost 10 pounds in the remainder of December by cutting out candy (big-time sugarholic). My official starting weight on January 9th was 300 pounds, and I am now down to 265 (as of this morning) but for the last few weeks I've really just been maintaining.
I found out a couple of weeks ago that I will be losing my job at the end of June (which is actually fine with me!), but that still comes with some pretty big emotions, so my goal for now is to to not fall bag into the habit of eating whether I'm hungry or not. I'm still hoping to lose 8-10 pounds in this challenge, but I'm satisfied with my weight loss so far, and happy to just enjoy my progress up to now. This is the smallest I've been since before I was pregnant with our almost 3 year old son!
So, I've been married to my husband Ryan for almost 5 years, which is a small miracle in itself. We've gone through some ridiculously rough times, but have come out of them so strong and more like best friends. We have a beautiful, blonde haired blue eyed son named Christopher, who has a really good sense of humor and is super tall for his age. He's the joy in our life, and hopefully we'll be able to give him a little brother or sister in the next few years.
Wow - sorry for the long post! I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you better in the weeks ahead!

Hello Blue Team, my name is Shawn, im 23 and judging by the posts it looks as though im the only male on the team haha. Anyways, I have been at this now for over a year. It started last may when i was 242 and that summer was able to get down to 210-212 range and have hovered in that area since Sept. getting no higher than 222. At the start of this challenge im 214.4 and would like to get down to 200 by the end of the challenge. It is difficult as I have a desk job m-f 9-5, but I need to challenge myself with the reward being my trip to atlantic city on the final week of this challenge :). My long-term overall goal is to not make a liar out of my drivers license as the information was given when I was 16, so the weight says 185.
As far as hobbies, i enjoy being outdoors at all costs, whether a walk,run,bike, golf,fishing, or being near the ocean as I am from Rhode Island.
Hope everyone has a good weigh-in today/tom.
