Blue Team Thread for TBL Part 7!!!!!!! COME ON IN TEAM BLUE!!!!
I didn't see a thread for our team so I started one! If there's already one please point me in the right direction, if not, let's get going and losing those pounds for Team Blue!!!!!!
Caverlady (Pam) - The reason why I ask is that I too am O+ and my cholesterol goes down when I eat a lot of food that is supposed to raise cholesterol, it seems to lower mine. Ok, you are the youngest...... here is my family history (that I know of anyway, I was adopted). Currently I am 6' 2" and about 265-270, the oldest of three (blood family) and oldest of two (adopted family), THE RUNT OF THE FAMILY (blood family) and by far the tallest (adopted family). I am truly wondering if the "blood type" diets really work. The only hard part about them would be having to fix more than one dinner each night due to multiple blood types.
I am still stuck at 265, I am going back to the gym tomorrow and hitting it hard again. I will show improvement by next week. I cannot let my ladies down now can I!

Come on ladies there is only 4 weeks left, we have done 8 weeks standing on our heads, and I have been battling the knee injury. I would whip out the ole' "Win one for the gipper" speech, but I don't think I need to do that. Through reading some of the posts on this thread and some of your journal entries I know everyone on this team wants to lose the weight! I know it is my heart of hearts. I think the things some of you may need is some one other than yourselves to be accountable to, MAKE ME THAT PERSON! I may not be a family member, doctor or anyone else that matters....... BUT you have come here looking for or maybe even asking for help. I KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO LOSE THE WEIGHT!!!!! I have been there, I have lost 90 so far and WILL lose at least 100 if not more. So come on ladies, get in here and start voiceing what concerns you may have LET US HELP!!!!! I may not know anyone of you away from this team, but just know that I CARE about each and everyone of you.
Challenge to each of you ladies, by the end of weigh-ins next week.........

"Lead, Follow or get out the way! As for me, You better watch out cause I'm coming through like a runaway train!" P.S. Modify that to where it reads to what you want it to say.
Later Ladies,
Papa
Hi everyone!
Sorry I haven't been on lately but we went away for the holiday week-end and I'm just starting to get back on track. I'm also sorry that I didn't lose this week. I've still been on this fluctuation thing so I'm trying a new tactic. I'm hoping I've tricked my body into thinking that I've just started dieting to see if it will return to the losing track. I've got 2 weeks to lose as much weight as I can before we go on vacation and party at the beach for a week. Hopefully that won't hurt me too much and I'll be ready when I get back. I will post my weight on the correct day from the beach if at all possible. It's been extremely frustrating to stay on the program and not lose weight, so I'll have to see what else I can do. Good luck to everyone!
Pam
Well, I hope you are all coming in here to at least read and try to keep up! Ha Ha! Looks like we have had a big drop off in posts. I have been out of town for two weeks on travel for the Navy. I have done ok, my knee still has the dull pain, and I now have 8 weeks of Physical Therapy. My Physical Therapist seems to think that it may help reduce the pain and he said the "Baker's cyst" that is coming out of my knee is something that happens quite often to people they just don't know it. The only thing that scares me is that he said about 75 percent of people who get them always have pain the rest of their lives if they are not removed. So if it comes to that I will be going through surgery before living with pain everyday the rest of my life.
Ok, Pam now you are just trying to make me jealous, going to the beach on vacation. Here's the question though.... You gonna rock the beach in a bikini? This summer has been the first summer in awhile that I have actually walked around with my shirt off and NOT been ashamed of it. Come on now you will be having way to much fun on (or off) the beach to post. No, you can drop in and say Hey whenever you want. I just wish you could pack me in your luggage and take me to the beach with you. Sounds like a lot of fun! What beaches you going to? DO NOT GET DISHEARTENED, THE WEIGHT THAT COMES OFF SLOWLY IS MORE APT TO STAY OFF! Just keep that in mind, and focus on your goals and you will attain them! I have faith in ya! I will keep you in my prayers as it looks as if hurricane Hanna is coming your way (Maryland right).
Later ladies,
Papa
Morning Everyone!
Hope everybody had a great week-end are ready for the week ahead! It was quite an interesting build-up to the week-end with Hurricaine Hanna heading in our direction, but the good new is that the center of the storm came in to our southeast so we missed the worst part of it. We had some wind, not a whole lot, but a lot of rain. It rained buckets for most of the day, but there was very little damage in our area. My worst fear was the power going out and to that end we filled both tubs with water and every jug we could get our hands on as we are on a well and need electricity to pump water. All is well though and no power was lost here, so it's good. My thoughts turn to those in the path of Ike because it is a much stronger storm. I hope everyone remembers to keep the Gulf Coast and Florida in their prayers as well as those in Cuba who bore the full strength of a catastrophic hurricaine.
On the good new front, it looks like I am finally leaving Fluctuation City. The scale read 175.5 this morning which is the lowest I've been since I re-started my journey in June. I've been fluctuating between 177 and 180 since early August and it's been really frustrating. It's too soon to tell I guess but it does look like I've made it past there. At the very least I'll have something to report for the weigh-in. I really want to lose as much weight as I can in the next two weeks because of vacation when I know I won't lose and might gain a pound or two so it would be nice to have a small cushion to keep me out of that 177 to 180 rut.
Papa, we're going to the Outer Banks in NC with friends for a week so there will be a good deal of partying going on. No, I don't think I'll be wearing a bikini any time soon, but I will actually wear a bathing suit this year, something I've not done in public in several years. I may never have a bikini body, but I think I'll be happy with not looking like a beached whale. We go to the Outer Banks every year in late September because the crowds are gone and the prices are lower. We can get a house that costs about $5,000 for a week during the peak time for about $1,100 in that week. It's really the best time to go down there because most everything's still open and the weather is good, usually. There's always the danger of hurricaines since it's right around peak season for them but so far we've been lucky. Anyway, we're really looking forward to some time to unwind and party!
That's about it for now! Hope everyone's losing!
Pam
Anybody from the blue team around?
Peeks around the corner looking for Blue Team people.
Guess not. Hope that means everyone's exercising!
I still come in every day and check, but it seems you and I are the only regulars here, and now since we have the other thread that is where I post.
Jumps out from behind the doorway scaring Caverlady to death!!!!
