Have seen that some here eat them, so when I saw them in the frozen section of my local grocery store, I bought some.

Now what??

Now.. you cook them and eat them. I like them, they don't have the same consistency (though we think the Boca Chicken Patties do), but they have a similair taste.

Enjoy :)
Broiling is okay?
What kind of boca burger?  Did you get the regular or the grilled?  I like the grilled...I actually just microwave one and put it on a salad.  but then again, i'm not really too picky and like pretty much everything :)

but yes...grill, broil, pan fry.  However you want!
Grilled, I think it was. And yes, I like pretty much everything, too, as my hips can attest! :-D

Thanks!
Ha...thats what I used to tell people "Look at me, do I LOOK picky??"

Try one of those puppies in a foreman grill or on a real grill (or broiled) and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.  Just avoid gardenburgers...blech!
Athena.

If the #@#$# power would stay on, I was going to tell you DON'T grill Boca Burgers on the Foreman Grill without nonstick spray. They stick to the grill pretty badly. We've tried that before :)
I like the flame grilled and original vegetable ones, myself, done in a pan with no stick spray or in the oven.  I just pile on lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard, and ketchup and eat them with or without bread.  Yum!  I also recommend Gardenburger's sundried tomato burgers and the Chick'n ones Hk was talking about.  :)
I love Boca Burgers. If they were cheaper, I would probaly have them three times a week!
I love the Bocas too, buy the club packs at Sams (they are a bit bigger in those packs 100 calories insteaad of 70.)
I heard that they were high in soduim? Does anyone know? Any truth to this rumor?
I cook mine in the toaster oven for 10 minutes at 400. The chicken patties are also very good, better than the burgers, I think.
Thanks, all!

i agree with the above statements regarding Boca Burgers. they are yummmmmmy :) i cook mine a frying pan with a little no-stick spray, and then blot off any of the spray that invetiably sticks to the food. i love them! i also agree that the chick'n burgers are good - and as far as i can tell, they taste like real meat! (i've been a veg for about 10 years so i don't exactly remember the taste of real meat).

btw: finewine... love the comment you used to tell people about "looking" picky! that's a great one! :)
I was SO hungry when I got home (since I got home so very late) that I microwaved the Boca burger. I then slapped it on a slice of whole wheat bread, put cheddar, ketchup, and relish on top of the burger, and put another slice of bread on top and enjoyed every bite!
I microwave mine.  For regular boca burgers, I make a small slit on the package and microwave for 30 seconds on one side and 20 seconds on the other.  I put it on 2 slices of toasted whole grain bread with ketchup, mustard, and cheese.
I love Boca Burgers, especially the totally vegan ones.

you can microwave them, fry them , grill them or bake them in the oven.

You cn also crumble them up and use them in place of ground beef for hot dishes and such.

Basically they work almost anywhere real hamburger would.
I used to eat Boca Burgers years ago, but stopped.  I can't remember why, now.  *scratches head*  Anyway, they were on sale at the grocery store this week, so we now have two packs that proclaim "more veggies" and "better-tasting" on them in the freezer.  So I guess I'll find out soon enough whether I had reason to stop liking them or not. . .
Hahah, when I was a vegetarian I would crave bacon cheese burgers. So I would microwave a vegan Boca burger, broil thin strips of tofu seasoned with red pepper flakes, use veganaise, soy cheese, lettuce and tomatos. I used whole wheat english muffins for the bun since they are heartier and better for you than white hamburger buns. Good eats, really....
Mmm! I love Boca burgers!  I grill mine on a George Foreman grill, and then either eat it on a whole wheat bun, or put it in a wrap.  Actually, my wraps are amazing!  Here's the recipe:

1 Whole wheat wrap

1 Boca burger, grilled and cut up into small pieces

1 serving frozen vegetables, your choice (cook in microwave)

1 serving reduced fat cheese

2 tsp hot sauce

When you are done cooking the burger & veggies, mix them together with the hot sauce.  Then put the mixture on the wrap, sprinkle the cheese, and roll it up!  It's delicious!!!
