Boca burgers

Quote  |  Reply
I've always heard of them, from vegetarians and meat eaters alike, that they are good source of protein and not a lot of fat so I was just wondering if you can taste the difference between them and actual beef burgers. I have been contemplating to buy them when I go grocery shopping. All responses are appreciated.

I love boca burgers, but they don't taste anything at all like a hamburger or beef.  If you're expecting that beefy taste you'll be very disappointed.

I also love boca burgers.  If you are looking for something that tastes a little more like a burger and less like a veggie burger, try the All American Flame Grilled.  My husband actually likes those.

You have to try them.  I think they are a great substitue.  I have gone to having red meat at a maximum of one serving per week for cholesterol control purposes.  I also buy frozen turkey burgers and I just think they both are a great substitute for a hamburger.  Enjoy!

Definitely nothing like beef but I eat them all the time. When I feel like a treat I will cook one and make oven fries out of a potato. Honestly I don't miss burger and fries at all.

You should definitely try them and make sure to cook them on high heat like on a george foreman, it helps the surface crust a little bit.

I am a meat eater but actually like boca burgers, they really aren't bad and a pretty good substitute if you got a hankerin for a burger but don't want the fat and calories...
If you like the boca burgers then try the boca ground beef. I love using it in a spaghetti sauce and in tacos.

I have been addicted to Boca burgers for at least 5 years. I eat them almost every day. They have Flame Grilled, Garlic, Veggie & Cheesburger. Flame Grilled is wonderful! On a light bun with light cheese, it's fantastic! I know our Target store sells them cheaper than our grocery store, so check that out. A "good deal" is typically $2.50 a box, but I've paid upward of $3.50 per box when they are not on sale at our grocery store.

Let me also say their Chicken patties & nuggets are good as well. Much healthier and my kids both love the chicken & burgers.

I HATE mushrooms, but I'm pretty sure they are in there, yet I still love the taste of the Boca burger. Give it a try, at least.

Yum, I could go for one now! :)

They are a bit challenging to describe. It's been a while so feel free to correct me if you don't agree but they're kind of like a bean patty like with a touch of spice. Sometimes they can be outright spicy depending on the type you choose.

They have a bite like hamburger but the textures is different - more like a chicken patty. It's not bad, just different. They serve them at the cafeteria where I work and I have them on occasion. It's worth the experiment.
if you're gonna try veggie burgers i'd personally go with  the morningstar brand.. boca tastes like cardboard-ish to me :-X

honesty bocca burgers never were my favorite. morning star definitly makes a nicer product. and if you just want to try one go to subway and try the veggie patty...its a morning star product....good luck
I honestly dislike the flavor, texture.. I usually either eat  a turkey burger and pop it in the george Foreman grill.. better than nothing;)
