Hooray to Boca, and I will now be purchasing, everything Boca! :)
It has Texturized Vegetable Protein (aka soy).
It's good, but ridiculously expensive.
DM, I'm in the boston area too...you can make your own.
I could make my own, but my cooking skills are terrible and my time is very limited.
I buy this canned veggie chili in the Wild Harvest section at Shaws that comes in a 15 oz can for like $2. Much cheaper, and paired with some salad is fairly filling. Granted it's 300 calories in a 15 oz can vs 150 calories for the 10 oz of Boca chili, but I'm maintaining so that's fine. Also I'm single so I don't like to have excessive amounts of leftovers. If I made a pot of chili, that would last forever, and I'd get sick of it pretty quickly.
The portion is a little small, I was expecting it to be a bit bigger, but I ate it with wheat thins and it was fine.
The Lasagna one is good too
and if you are into soy foods, the Morning Star bbq ribs is really good (comes with 2 servings per package)
Our area has been having coupons for 100.00 off any 2 BOCA items, check your papers
I agree with what someone else wrote--try the lasgna, it's REALLY good.
And the chili is amazing on tofu dogs :)
