Has anyone taken Body Attack at Golds Gym? The description of the class says:

Body Attack -The sports-inspired cardio workout for building strenght and stamina. This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises. The music is POWERFUL and DYNAMIC instructors who motivate everyone toward their fitness goals-from the weekend athlete to the hard core!

But I'm kind of nervous about taking it. Is it a class worth taking? Usually I take step classes, Spinning classes, eliptical or treadmill along with weight lifting.

I generally like all of the "Body" classes (except for Body Jam. I walked out half way through... stupid dance moves didn't give me much of a workout at all. :P)

If you are already taking step and spinning classes I think you'll be able to keep up with the Attack class.

Give it a try! And don't be afraid to tell the instructor its your first Attack class. They'll usually make sure to give better instructions if they know someone new to the class is there.

K thanks I think I'll just suck it up and go! lol I have been trying to add variety to my cardio workouts so that I don't get bored, meanwhile I'm looking for something to give me a great sweaty workout, maybe make me sore in the morning lol love that feeling, makes me feel like I really accomplished something

Did you give it a try? How did it go?

I love that sore feeling too! For the exact same reason! Body Pump is a good strength training one to try if you want to feel those muscles the next day.

Hi!

Did you go to the Attack class?

I'm a Body Attack instructor, and I definitely think it is a great class if you want to have a really good workout Smile

Your instructor should give you high and low intensity options all the way through the class, for example half jacks, if you don't want to do full jump jacks etc.  Also, remember to work at your own level - it's fine to stop for a breather, or a drink, but try not to stand still.

Attack should be a class for everybody - I think it has the reputation that only super-fit people can do it, but I don't think that's true.

I hope all this helps, and I hope you enjoy(ed) the class.

Mancgirl as a Body attack instructor can you tell us how to log the class in out activities??

I have been to a few of the Body Attack classes since I posted this thread and I'll tell ya I was DEFINATELY feeking sore the next morning lol But that's what I was aiming for.

Tonight I have the option of going to Spin class or going to Body Attack.....I think I might do my lower-body weight lifting routine for 30 minutes and then going to Body Attack.

Hi guys,

I know this is an old post, but I took this class today and was wondering how you all logged it? High impact aerobics?

10bysummer, it will be higher than CC's high impact aerobics (if you do all the high impact options). I have a HRM, and BA classes usually burn anywhere between 420 and 520 kcal, but CC's high impact estimates at 380/ hour for my height/weight.  This will give you a better estimate -> Aerobic (Step, With 10 – 12 Inch Step).
